One thing that Tisbury is not short of is dog friendly eateries! To satisfy a growling stomach, head to the Black Dog Tavern. Here you can enjoy some delicious food, and there are even dog treats in the bakery that your pooch can enjoy! You and your furry friend are welcome to shop in The Black Dog store together. If you are searching for a furiendly café, look no further that Mocha Mott’s. You can dig into some tasty treats at one of the outdoor tables, as well as get a dog bone for your pooch! For ice cream, don’t forget to drop into Bernie’s Home Made Ice Cream. There are even outdoor tables where your pup is welcome to join you for a lie down – bone-a-petit!

Oak Bluffs
Every pup loves a trip to the beach; so, be sure to visit Oak Bluffs where you will find two pawsome dog friendly beaches! Oak Bluffs is a puptown only 4 miles east of Tisbury, which means you can jump in the car with your pooch in tow and be there in no time! The Joseph Sylvia State Beach is a stunning two mile spot, with golden sand and blue sea where your pup is welcome to run and play all day long, as long as he is on leash. In addition, your pooch will love the Eastville Point Beach, where he can enjoy a stroll along the sand or make a splash in the water. Be sure to bring some treats and water for your furry friend, especially when the sun is out!

Edgartown
Only eight miles south east of Tisbury, you will find furiendly Edgartown. This is the ideal place to visit if your pup likes to ruff it, as it is the home of the Manuel F Correllus State Forest! Here you can go on an adventure and explore miles of sniff-tastic trails through the woodlands with your four-legged friend. To relax when the sun is out, you can also head to the South Beach State Park. There is plenty of golden sand to play fetch here, as well as the sea for a refreshing dip. If you fancy a bite to eat when you are in Edgartown, check out The Square Rigger. Here you can tuck into fresh seafood, such as clam chowder, lobster and sea scallops. What’s more, your furry friend is welcome at the outdoor tables!

West Tisbury
Next door to Tisbury, you will find the puptown of West Tisbury. Here you can enjoy an active day outdoors with your pooch at the Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary! This is a pawsome place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some sniff-tastic trails with your four-legged friend. Explore the forest, and enjoy beautiful views from the coastal bluffs. Afterwards, head to the West Tisbury Farmer’s Market. This is a puptastic place to shop for local produce, arts and crafts with plenty of stalls to look around. Plus, your pup is welcome to wander around with you on leash!
Woods Hole
For a day out with your furry friend, take one of the dog friendly ferries over to the furiendly village of Woods Hole. Here you can join the pawsome Shining Sea Bikeway, which has 11 miles of sniff-tastic trails where you and your pup can stretch your legs. You can explore the woodlands, marches and shoreline. Since bikes can use this trail, it may be best to keep your pooch on leash. If you get hungry while you are in Woods Hole, be sure to check out the Landfall Restaurant. You can sit back and enjoy some delicious seafood at the dog friendly outdoor tables. For some new American cuisine, check out the Water Street Kitchen. There are two tables outdoors where your pup is welcome to sit with you while you eat.
