Yarmouth Port
If you and your dog are itching to outside into some nature, look no further! The neighborhood of Yarmouth Port is home to some great parks where your pup can run and play. It’s here that you can find Dennis Pond and Conservation Area. After romping around in the grassy areas, you and your pup can cool off in the freshwater pond. The area is surrounded by a heavily wooded area and large shade trees. The only amenities in this area are seasonal porta-potties. Dogs are allowed as long as they stay leashed and get picked up after. So don’t forget the waste bags and dog treats!

South Yarmouth
In the neighborhood of South Yarmouth, you can find what is possibly the town’s favorite park, the Old Town House Road Park. The large community park has something for everyone, including the family dog of course! Here you can find many athletic fields that your pup can sniff and play on while there are no sports in progress. There is also a multi-use pathway that winds through the park. Other amenities include playgrounds, restrooms, and concession stands. Leashed dogs are welcome to enjoy the park with their two-legged friends! When it’s time for a frosty treat, head over to Cape Cod Creamery in the same neighborhood. You can enjoy one of the large variety of ice cream flavors next to your pupper at one of the outdoor dog friendly tables.

Bass River
The Bass River neighborhood is located on the south side of Yarmouth, along the Atlantic Ocean. This scenic area is home to the Bass River Beach and Boat Access. The pawrific thing about it, is that leashed dogs are allowed to enjoy the beach during the off season. From September 15th until May 15th, your pup can run and play in the sand and surf. After all that ocean playtime, you may be craving some delicious seafood! So head over to Seafood Sam’s, also located in the Bass River neighborhood. Here you can dig into some fish and chips next to your best pal at one of the dog friendly outdoor tables.

West Yarmouth
West Yarmouth is a neighborhood along the Atlantic Ocean that also wraps around Lewis Bay, meaning there are plenty of beaches to enjoy here! One of the favorites is Seagull Beach. While dogs aren’t allowed during the summer, they are free to enjoy the sandy beach on-leash during the off-season, from September 15th until May 15th. If you’re looking for some space in nature to enjoy during the summer, head over to Mill Creek Park located in the same neighborhood. This quiet park has great views, and is a lovely place to have a picnic, so don’t forget the dog biscuits! Leashed dogs are welcome as long as they get picked up after.
