South Dennis is a lovely neighborhood that is home to the John Kelley Recreation Area. This 25-acre park has many outdoor activities for your entire family during your visit. The park has a unique Braille Trail, which has Braille signs throughout the historic parts of the park. There is a fitness trail with exercise equipment for the fitness buff in your family. There are also plenty of open fields as well that are perfect for playing fetch or just laying out a blanket for a pupperific picnic with a view of the parts of the park that still grow wild.

Dennis Port

Dennis Port is a quiet neighborhood on the southern side of Dennis. Swan Pond is a two mile pond in the area with plenty of room for you and your pup to sniff around. There is no access for motorized boats on this pond, which keeps the area very quiet and pawfect for reflecting. You and your dog can sniff around the pond while enjoying the scene from the walkways. Small paddle boats and kayaks are permitted on the pond throughout the year. Swan Pond Overlook is a great vantage point that you can hike up to if you want one of the best views in Dennis Port.

West Dennis

West Dennis is a great place if you are looking to permanently move into this lovely resort town. This neighborhood has plenty of dog- and family-friendly single-family homes for sale that match the historic architectural style of the area. The Fresh Pond Conservation Area and Fresh Pond Dog Park provide hours of entertainment for the whole family. This wildlife area has walking paths where leashed pets are welcome, and the dog park has two fenced-in areas for off-leash shenanigans. There is even a freshwater swimming area where dogs are allowed to splash around! Just don't forget to bring drinking water, waste bags, and clean towels.

Dennis Village

Dennis Village is home to some beautiful beaches, some of which welcome dogs! It is worth noting that dogs are not allowed on the beaches from Memorial Day through Labor Day, but they are allowed on them on-leash during the rest of the year. Mayflower Beach is a unique and stunning beach where you can walk for miles at low tide. It is a popular destination for photographers and those looking for a quiet place to be alone with their thoughts. Throughout the year, there is plenty of room for Frisbee games and picnics. Just make sure you clean up after your pet carefully during the dog-friendly season.

Harborview Beach

Harborview Beach is a neighborhood in Dennis that's home to its namesake beach, which also connects to Cold Storage Beach. The beach has a private area on one side. The beach has limited parking even during the off-season, so finding alternative transportation or walking to the beach is recommended. The waves are usually gentle, which makes it great for families with young children. If you and your pup get hungry after all of that swimming and walking along the sand, Sesuit Harbor Cafe is the place to be! You can grab a table outside with your dog where you will have a spectacular view of the marina.
