The East Brewster neighborhood is the proud home to the very popular Nickerson State Park. This state park has 1900 acres of beautiful woodlands, and many different ways to enjoy it! They offer more than 400 campsites, and over 8 miles of hiking and biking trails. There are eight fresh water ponds in this state park as well, with easy walking trails encircling them. Your dog is welcome to join you too, of course, but he must remain leashed and is not allowed on the beach areas. Campground amenities include modern restrooms, fire pits with grills, and picnic tables. If you and your dog are craving some delicious local seafood, head to Cobie’s Clam Shack. This restaurant has an outdoor dining area that is dog friendly!

Sears Point/ Brewster Park
The Sears Point/ Brewster Park neighborhood in Brewster is where you can find the woofderful Breakwater beach! The best part about this beach for dogs owners is that the beach welcomes dogs during the off season! Between October 1st and May 1st, your pup is free to splash and play. Just a short trot across the border into the town of Orleans brings you to the neighborhood of Skaket Beach. This neighborhood’s namesake beach is just directly south of Brewster. The Skaket Beach welcomes dogs during the off-season, which is from October 1st to May 1st. The beach is famous for its gorgeous sunsets, and during low tide, you can walk for about half a mile across the tidal flats. This leaves small tidal pools to play in, and hermit crabs to watch and gently sniff! Even during the off-season, this park is for everyone to enjoy, so please keep your dog leashed and pick up after him.

Just a 20 minute drive from Brewster into the town of West Yarmouth brings you to a fantastic treat for you and your pooch! In the neighborhood of Stage Coach Village, you can find the Yarmouth Dog Park. This dog park allows for some glorious off-leash freedom, and some pawsitive socialization with other furry friends in a safe environment. There are fenced in areas for small and large dogs, with dirt and gravel surfaces. You'll find water fountains and waste bags available for use, but don’t forget your dog’s favorite ball to throw!
