Noanet Woodlands
If you feel guilty for spending all your weekends lounging around and want to take your pup on an outdoor adventure, take a 15-minute drive north to Dover, nestled right next to the stunning area of Noanet Woodlands. This huge public park flourishing with diverse species of birds to watch has plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with Massachusetts' beautiful flora and fauna. You will see plenty of other dog owners enjoying adventurous walks in the forest with their loyal mutts and playing next to the water. Do remember to keep your buddy on their leash, and bring your own drinking water.

Newton’s city center is a nice and pleasant stop on your way to Boston, complete with leafy recreation areas, plenty of shopping opportunities, and a few dog-friendly eateries where you can spoil Spot. Cold Spring Park is a pawfect place to stretch your legs, featuring exercise paths, wooded areas, and a dog park. The park for pooches has a separate parking lot for your convenience, a fence to keep your mutt safe, and lots of friendly tail-waggers to play with! Auburndale, one of the largest villages in eastern Newton, is lovingly known to locals as simply "The Dale". While the sidewalks in this neighborhood are a lovely place for walkies, you'll fall head over paws for Norumbega Park, a public park with riverside trails and a charming meadow. Follow the leash policies of the park and keep your buddy tied up while exploring and sniffing around! Do you want to treat your loyal mutt with something delicious? Wally’s Wicked Good Ice Cream is a pawesome dessert place with outdoor tables for pups and a wealth of ice cream flavors!

Avon Hill
One of the northern neighborhoods of Cambridge, Avon Hill is a great place to take a break after a busy week and get some mutts-needed exercise. St. Peter’s Field, located not far from Fresh Pond, should be your number one destination if your pooch is craving a good run! Danehy Dog Park, located within the main park, is a hunky-dory place to have a blast meeting new canine friends and running off-leash! There are two designated, fenced areas here. For a little more freedom, head to the unfenced Corcoran Field, which is a dog-friendly off-leash park. You'll need to keep a close eye on your furry friend here and ensure he responds well to voice commands.

East Arlington
The densely populated northern neighborhoods of Cambridge are the pawfect place to go for walkies. The same is true of East Arlington, MA, which is home to Spy Pond, Spy Pond Park, and Thorndike Field. Thorndike Field is a furrific off-leash park with plenty of room to run and play, an obstacle course, benches for humans, and drinking fountains.
