Downtown Towson
About two miles south of Hampton is the Downtown area of Towson. This affluent neighborhood is close to Towson University and has a city-like feel with shopping areas, dining spots, live events, and more. You and your dog can find plenty of paw-friendly restaurants here to suit just about any set of taste buds. Try Souris’ Saloon, a casual bar that has several tables inside for polite, small dogs to join their owners. Or, try some intense flavors of India with a meal at Kathmandu Kitchen, a relaxing spot that has outdoor tables and doggie water bowls for furry friends.

Hampden
The Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore is about 15 miles from Hampton. This neighborhood is home to Roosevelt Park, a popular public park in the outskirts of the Downtown area that has several athletic fields, a playground, a skate park, and a pool. You and your leashed pup can spend a day checking out the community garden, watching local kids skate and play, or having a picnic in a pavilion. Or, take a trip to Wyman Park, where leashed dogs can enjoy walking the paths for some tranquil exercise. Hampden also has several dog-friendly restaurants to enjoy, like Café Hon, which has a little bit of everything, from seafood to baked goods. Mid-Town Belvedere
Mid-Town Belvedere is a 13-mile drive from Hampton. This neighborhood has mostly multi-family residential buildings set in an urban environment and includes part of the city’s historic district and several transit routes through Baltimore’s Penn Station. You and your pup can spend hours just walking the streets to check out some of the city’s culture, but you can also make a pit stop at one of several restaurants that welcome dogs. The Canton neighborhood of Baltimore is a waterfront neighborhood that’s under 17 miles from Hampton. Canton is a pawesome place for families to take root or visit, as it includes parks, restaurants, one of the best libraries in the city, and great spots for boating. Your pup will love the Canton Dog Park, located in the Canton Waterfront Park. With fenced-in areas for small and large dogs, your pooch can play with new friends safely off their leash. You can also visit the main park with your leashed dog. Explore the walking paths along the water, share a picnic lunch out on the grass, or enjoy a live music festival.

Fells Point
Just under 16 miles from Hampton is the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore. This area is super close to Downtown and is one of the most densely populated in the city, loved for its rich historical roots and proximity to Baltimore’s beautiful waterfront. Take your leashed dog on one of Baltimore’s Ghost Tours as you learn about some of the city’s ghostly history and stories. You can also choose from several dog-friendly restaurants.
