I am an avid dog lover and love walking outdoors for exercise, so why not combine the two. I have been volunteering at Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter(BARCS) since January of this year. I have transported more than 150 animals between BARCS and various veterinary clinics. I have also walked hundreds of dogs and participated in many dog play group sessions in which I have received valuable training from a professional dog trainer. I have experience with all types and sizes of dogs ranging from Chihuahua's to Great Dane. I make the safety of the Dog my top priority during any interaction with them.

I've been very fortunate to grow up with dogs. My first dog was a golden retriever named Murphy. I learned a lot about how to take care of dogs when I was a kid because of Murphy. And more importantly, I had a lot of fun! I now have a black lab named Hon. She recently turned 11, but still acts like a puppy .

Hi my name is Hunter! I'm an animal lover and pet owner myself. I know our pets are family and how important it is to make sure they're taken care of. I've had dogs in my home since as long as I can remember and know how to give them the love and respect they deserve. I've worked office jobs and long hour days, so I understand the need for a reliable person to be there. I would be happy and honored to get to care for your pup, big or small, old or young!

The city of Lochearn in Baltimore County lies just west of the Baltimore city limits. This unincorporated community features a number of trails and parks for you and your pup to explore together. The mild, cool winters and hot, humid summers here offer year-long opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
Take your pup to Powder Mill Park and walk along the stream and pond in this wooded area. You and your pooch will enjoy exploring this undeveloped space. The park is connected by a greenway to other neighborhood parks and trails. Make sure to keep your furry friend on a leash.
In the northern section of Lochearn, you and Fido can walk along the stream in Scotts Hill Park. Follow the water in the wooded areas, or stroll on the trails around the playground and open field. If you’d like to extend your walk, follow the train tracks over to Sudbrook Park.
If you’re looking for dog-friendly accommodations in the Lochearn area, contact Lochearn Airbnb. With over 200 area rentals that allow pets, you should be able to find something that fits your needs and budget. Remember to contact the property owner about any fees, weight limits or restrictions.
The neighborhood of Lochearn has some lovely, quiet areas where you and your pup can take a leisurely walk. Head over to Gwynns Falls with Fido and follow this stream under the trees as it meanders through the neighborhood. When you want to get a little exercise, take your furry friend to Powdermill Run Park and walk or jog the path that goes around the playground and along the creek. You and Fido can enjoy some time exploring this wooded recreational space together. Dogs are allowed in city parks provided that you keep them on a leash and you pick up any waste.
You and Fido will find a pawtastic park to investigate together in the neighborhood of Willow Glen. Villa Nova Park, also known as Mill Glen Park, is part of the Gwynns Falls Watershed. In this pupful recreational area, you and your furry friend will be able to stroll along a mile-long trail that follows the stream for half a mile, then loops back to the trailhead through some forested land. This is a popular trail, and you’re likely to encounter other canines and their owners. Remember to keep your pooch under the control of a leash and to pick up any messes along the way.
When you want to get out and stretch your legs, take Fido to Gwynn Oak Park, just east of the neighborhood of West Glen. In this pleasant area, you’ll be able to walk or jog along trails that wind through the park. Bring along some lunch and have a picnic at one of the tables. You can also bring your fishing rod and enjoy a little fishing while your four-footed pal lounges at your side. The park includes some wooded areas, open fields, and a section of Gwynns Falls stream. Dogs are welcome to join you as long as they are kept on a leash and you pick up after them.
Bring Fido with you when you head out to the park in Woodlawn. You’ll be able to walk along trails that wind around the ball fields. Catch a game and root on your favorite team. There are fields and wooded areas here that you and your canine companion can check out. After you get a little exercise with your pal, settle down at one of the picnic tables with a snack or meal. If you’re visiting the Greater Baltimore area, you can find dog-friendly accommodations in this neighborhood at the Knights Inn Baltimore West. This motel allows up to two pets that weigh 35 pounds or less for an additional fee.
Head just south of Lochearn to Windsor Terrace to link up with a pawesome trail. Take your pal over to Leakin Park to find one of the trailheads to the Gwynns Falls Trail. This 15-mile trail is part of the national Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. You and Fido can hike along the stream in this scenic city greenway. There are a number of historic spots along the path where you and your pooch can take a little break. You can also roam the trails in Leakin Park. This expansive recreational area includes wooded areas, ball fields, a train, and more. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trail and in the park.
