North Rolling Road
If you want to take your dog for a leisurely stroll, Rockdale Park is the perfect place to go. This neighborhood park welcomes dogs on-leash, and it’s home to a playground, a baseball diamond, and plenty of open fields where your dog can sniff around in the grass. There’s also a flat and paved walking trail that goes through the whole park. After you finish your walk, have a picnic with your pup in Rockdale Park’s large picnic pavilion. Bring some treats for your dog and yourself, and enjoy dining in the park with your furry best friend.

Locust Point is home to the pawsitively amazing Locust Point Dog Park at Latrobe Park. Located about 14 miles from Windsor Mill, this dog park has one large, fenced-in area that has rocks and trees for your dog to play on. There are also tennis balls you can use to play games of catch with your dog. If playing here makes your dog thirsty, water is available in the dog park. If you want to grab a bite to eat with your pooch after the dog park, head over to nearby Sweet Caroline’s. This casual restaurant serves classic Southern dishes, including pulled pork, chicken biscuits, and bayou shrimp. Dogs are welcome at their two outdoor tables.

Taylor Heights
If you and your dog both love spending time out in the woods, check out Double Rock Park. Double Rock is about 18 miles from Windsor Mill in Parkville, and it welcomes dogs on-leash. The 102-acre park is home to peaceful nature trails that go through the woods and past babbling creeks. This 2.7-acre dog park is just nine miles from Windsor Mill, and it offers separate fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. The dog park is filled with trees that keep it shady and cool, and there are benches for owners. Bring your dog some water and some doggy bags, and have a great time playing here. If you’re looking for a tasty meal after the dog park, head over to Germano’s Trattoria. Dogs are welcome on this Italian restaurant’s outdoor patio area. While you and your dog enjoy the views from the patio, you can dine on delicious pasta dishes, seafood dishes, and much more.

Patterson Park
This neighborhood is named after its large park, Patterson Park. Inside this park, you’ll find a great off-leash dog run. This dog run is about 15 miles from Windsor Mill, and it has separate large and small dog areas. Both areas feature grassy fenced-in fields and benches for owners. If your dog gets messy while they’re playing, there’s a hose you can use to clean them off. You can also use this hose to fill their water bowl if they get thirsty. After your pup is finished at the dog park, put their leash back on and explore Patterson Park itself. This huge park has tons of trails that go past beautiful ponds, fields, and lakes.
