Davis Court

It takes less than a half an hour to drive from Tuscarora to the Leesburg Dog Park at Olde Izaak Walton Park in central Leesburg, Virginia. This 21-acre dog park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk, and it is free to use. The Leesburg Dog Park recently underwent an expansion, and added a section just for small dogs under 25 pounds. The park also provides visitors with seating and shade, but guests are advised to bring their own water. There is some grass in this park, but most of the ground is now mulch that is well-maintained by conscientious visitors.

Milestone

Germantown, Maryland is less than a half-hour drive from Tuscarora, and in the northeastern area of the city, there's a dog park known as the Ridge Road Recreational Dog Park. This dog park sits on approximately half an acre of land, and it is surrounded by a six-foot fence. The Ridge Road Recreational Dog Park opened in 2003, and it has since become a popular meeting spot for local dog owners who bring their pets to socialize and exercise with other dogs. In the greater Ridge Road Recreational Park area, there are also walking trails you can traverse with your pet and playgrounds for human children to enjoy. Guests are advised to bring their own water to this dog park.

South Gaithersburg

Gaithersburg, Maryland is located half an hour southeast of Tuscarora. In the southern part of the city, there's a place known as the Green Park Dog Exercise Area that is split into two sides. One side has a gravel surface, and the other is comprised of grass, and together these areas make up about 1.5 acres of land. In both of the areas, you'll find doggy bag dispensers, benches, shade, and running drinking water during the warm months of the year. The dog park is open every day from 7 AM to sunset, and in the surrounding Green Park area, there are other facilities, like playgrounds and sports fields that your whole family can enjoy.

King Farm

About 20 miles southeast of Tuscarora is Rockville, Maryland, and in the northernmost part of town is the Rockville Dog Park in King Farm. For the safety of all dogs, you must register your dog with the city of Rockville before you receive the code you need to access this park, and this process includes paying a small fee for park access. Within the park, you'll find dog wash stations, running water, benches, picnic tables, and shade. The King Farm community is a gorgeous family community with plenty of park land, trails, pools, and fitness facilities, and of course, the Rockville Dog Park!

Ballenger Creek Center

The Ballenger Creek Dog Park in southwestern Frederick, Maryland is just 10 miles or a fifteen-minute drive from Tuscarora. This dog park is beautifully maintained and includes small and large dog areas. The Ballenger Creek Dog Park is part of Ballenger Creek Park, and the off-leash area consists of four acres of land that your dog will have a blast exploring. Along with shade and seating, there is also a doggy water fountain at the park. This park is open every day from 8 AM to sunset, and it is free to use, but your dog must have visible identification tags and be up-to-date on vaccinations.
