Montgomery Village, Maryland, is a small, census-designated
place right on the outskirts of Gaithersburg. In fact, it’s often confused as a
neighborhood in Gaithersburg, and even has two veterinary clinics that use
Montgomery Village in their names, but are actually located in Gaithersburg.
Montgomery Village has a couple of dog-friendly spots, like hotels and
restaurants, but traveling just a short distance will bring you to plenty more.
Boyds, MD, is a little over eight miles from Montgomery
Village. Here, you’ll find the Black Hill Regional Dog Park, an area of a
public park that allows dogs to run unleashed. Or, take him through trails,
playgrounds, open meadows, and more within Black Hill Regional Park.
You can also visit Rockville, which is also just over eight
miles from Montgomery Village, but in the opposite direction. Travel south to
find tons of paw-friendly restaurants and a few nature-focused outings. Rock
Creek Trail gives you a pawfect place for some hikes through the great
outdoors. Or, visit Rockville Dog Park in King Park for off-leash fun and exercise.
Pawtastic fun is only a hop, skip, and a jump away from
Montgomery Village! The nearby towns of Germantown and Gaithersburg are also furtastic
spots to explore.
