Located about ten miles from Clarksville is Ellicott City’s Worthington Dog Park. This popular bark park sits on nearly three acres, so there’s plenty of room for even the most rambunctious pups to burn off all that excess energy! You’ll need a pass to use this dog park, but a pass for the entire day is only $5. Water is provided by this park during warmer months, but when it gets cold outside, you’ll want to bring your own. You’ll also want to have some waste disposal bags on hand.

If you and your dog love exploring nature, take a hike! Make sure it’s on the Patuxent Branch Trail, though, which has an access point in nearby Columbia. This trail is only six miles from Clarksville, so you won’t have to travel too far. Patuxent Branch Trail is nearly five miles long, so it’s perfect for both beginner hikers and proficient hikers. Fido can join you out on your walk, but make sure he stays on his leash for the duration of the trail; you wouldn’t want him running off! Water and waste disposal bags are not provided.

Found 20 miles away from Clarksville, Greenbelt Dog Park is a little bit of a drive, but your dog will certainly be howling in appreciation! This spacious, off-leash dog park is completely fenced-in, meaning your pup can securely run around off his leash. Greenbelt Dog Park also has play equipment for your pooch, including tunnels and climbing equipment, which lets your adventurous dog have a ball! This off-leash dog park has plenty of room for your playful pup to run around while playing with his pawesome new friends. There’s also plenty of shade and seating for dog moms and dog dads, so both of you will be happy. This bark park has a few pieces of agility equipment for brave dogs. You will, however, want to bring your own water and waste disposal bags.
