In addition to pavilions and gazebos where you and your pup can relax, Watkin's Park has pawfect quaint Sunday stroll oppawtunities; a 1 mile paved walking trail and .25 mile nature rail trail. Tails are waggin' at Watkins Park!

This park has pawlenty to offer your pup, such as multipurpose sports fields, puptastic playgrounds, grills, picnic shelters and tables, and most of all, a wooftacular wooded trail that cuts through the park! Leash up Fido and go for a walk on the scenic trails. The park also comes equipped with a watering station and waste bags especially for doggoes, so make sure to advantage of the pawtastic services available here. Park rangers stroll the park, so it's best to always keep your pup leashed, per park rules.
Paddocks

Paddocks

The remote Paddocks neighborhood in Mount Airy features an adrenaline activity only for adventurous pups, as this is where you'll find the Gillis Falls Trail! This trail is designed with explorers in mind, meaning you should be careful to not get lost without the aid of a GPS or a map. Among the unmarked trails are several stream crossings (you might get wet!) and natural terrain. Most of the loop is flat, but offers a steep challenge at the end. Although very rustic, you will no doubt encounter other hikers and horse riders, so make sure to keep Fido leashed for his safety. If you're looking for a new adventure to take on with your pup, the Gillis Falls Trail has you covered (but hopefully not in mud!)
