Dog Walking in South Thomaston

The town of South Thomaston, Maine, lies on the south-central coast of the state, and is well-known as a fishing and resort town. Visitors from all over flock to this area to enjoy its scenic beauty. Pup-friendly throughout, this town offers Harbor Road Veterinary Hospital which is ready to take care of all your fur-ever friend’s needs, should the situation arise!

For some outdoor adventure here, pack up your pup and head to the Riverview Hayfields Preserve. Boasting an amazing 319 acres, this preserve offers spectacular views of both the St. George River and the Weskeag River. This is a critical habitat for bird migration where birds rest on their long journeys. It is a great place to visit with your pawtastic pup to photograph wildlife.  There are ongoing improvements within this preserve, which may limit pup-friendly accessibility so be sure to plan accordingly. Afterwards, head down to the river and enjoy wandering around the harbor to see boats sailing by and lots of fishing activity. Throw in your line and try your hand at catching lunch to share.
