The small unincorporated community of Catawissa in Franklin County is located 4 miles southeast of Pacific, MO and 39 miles northeast of St. Louis. Surrounded by expansive public parks and recreation areas, Catawissa boasts picnic and camping options, but no off-leash areas or dog parks. The transportation system is one of the advantages of the area, offering an easy ride to St. Louis via the railways. If your puppy is in need of medical help, feel free to visit the central animal hospital in Pacific.

Robertsville is another unincorporated community in Franklin County located just a 5-minute ride from Catawissa, featuring the tremendous area of Robertsville State Park. A former private park, the area now features more than 1,224 acres of open space, complete with excellent options for camping, hiking, and boating. Your fur baby can join you anytime, but should stay on their leash and behave themselves.
