South Point

The South Point neighborhood of Washington is located ten miles west of Villa Ridge. South Point Bark Park was named in 2017 and officially opened up its grassy space for all dogs to enjoy. The dog park is fully fenced and double-gated so dogs can rid themselves of the leash, sniff out a few new pals, and get some exercise. Amenities are few at the moment; water and a pavilion are planned for the future. A huge shade tree in the dog park gives the human companion a bit of relief from the summer sun. The dog park is free and open to the public from dawn to dusk.

Washington City Center

The center of Washington is located ten miles east of Villa Ridge. Burger Park is a good place to explore when the cool weather moves in. Here, people with pups will find a fully-fenced dog run for off-leash exercise and socialization. This is a seasonal dog park, so check with the city of Washington for operating schedules. This basic dog run offers a patch of grass and dirt for pups to sniff, run, and play in.  Human companions have water on-site, and there are waste supplies and receptacles. The dog run provides no seating for human companions, though. This dog run is free and open to the public. Hours are from dawn to dusk.

Wildwood

Wildwood is located seventeen miles east of Villa Ridge. Happy Hounds Playground gives hounds a place to have a pawesome good time!  This privately-owned dog park has ten fully-fenced acres for dogs and their people to enjoy. Dogs may run leash-free and explore various pieces of dog-friendly playground equipment. Splash pads and a swimming pond give dogs a chance to cool down during those hot months.  The dog park also has a nature trail for dogs and people to explore. Small dogs have a separate section of the property for their own playground. Visitors must buy a membership and pay a monthly fee to visit Happy Hounds.

Ellisville

Ellisville is located twenty-two miles east of Villa Ridge. A four-legged pal will welcome a visit to the Ellisville Dog Park! This beautifully landscaped dog park offers large dogs .28 acres of grassy ground for leash-free mingling and exercise. Small dogs lay claim to their separate patch of .11 acres. Drinking water is provided for person and pup. The human companion will find a nice shaded bench from which to supervise their furry friend at play. Waste stations are amply stocked with the necessary supplies. This dog park requires a small annual fee and registration with the city of Ellisville.

Ballwin

Ballwin is located twenty-four miles east of Villa Ridge. Tails and Trails is an exceptional dog park operated by St. Louis County that offers pups five acres of prime real estate for off-leash fun! The fenced natural terrain includes a creek and a small lake. Small dogs have their piece of pup paradise, too. Pet parents can sit on many of the benches scattered throughout the dog park, or head to the pavilion. The dog park has four pieces of agility equipment for training or for a curious nose to explore. Drinking water is available for all. This dog park requires a fee and registration with St. Louis County.
