Saint Clair City Limits

Saint Clair is a city that is very conveniently located for travelers to major cities like St. Louis. It offers travelers with pups a couple of dog-friendly lodging options. Budget Lodging, located at 866 S. Outer Road, is a dog-friendly, cozy place for a traveler with a furry family member. The motel welcomes up to two dogs of any size for an additional charge of $25 per night. The Super 8, located at 1010 S. Outer Road, caters to travelers with one dog under 50 pounds. This motel charges an extra $10 per night. Travelers are asked to call in advance to ensure a dog-friendly room will be available.

Union City Limits

Union is located nine miles north of Saint Clair. The trip to Union must include a stop at the K-9-n-Kiddos Park! This innovative city park caters to families with two- and four-legged family members who need a play day. The dog park has a fully-fenced, grassy space for the furbabies next to the children's playground. Even high-energy creatures can work up a good pant on the agility equipment here. Benches are conveniently situated in between the two parks so supervision of all species of family members is possible. Water is not available, so bring your own. This park is maintained by the city of Union. It is free and open to the public.

Washington City Limits

Washington is located sixteen miles north of Saint Clair. Burger Park offers dogs some mutts-needed, leash-free playtime at its dog run. This fully fenced stretch of grassy terrain has a double-gated entry. All dogs socialize together here; the dog run does not have a section for the small dogs, so if that's a dealbreaker for you, you might want to give this one a miss. Visitors will find drinking water at the park, as well as a waste station that's usually stocked. This dog run lacks some amenities, like benches for the human companions. It operates seasonally -- the schedule may be obtained from the city of Washington. It is free and open to all.

South Point

The South Point neighborhood of Washington is located ten miles north of Saint Clair. South Point Bark Park is the city of Washington's first year-round, permanent dog park. All dogs of every size are welcome to come and check it out! The dog park has 1.5 acres of grass and dirt for dogs to romp in leash-free. Waste stations are filled to the brim with waste baggies. People will find a few shaded spots to sit in. A separate section for small dogs, water, and a pavilion are in the works -- active fundraising continues in this dog-enthusiastic community. The dog park is open from dawn to dusk and is free and open to the public.

Sunset Hills

Sunset Hills is just a quick, 40-minute drive away from Saint Clair via Interstate 44. Here, you'll find Kitun Dog Park, which Fido will pawsitively love! This dog park has two fully fenced acres for a dog's favorite activity -- exercise and play! Smaller dogs are also treated to their own special fenced spot. Agility equipment lets dogs get in some training time or just try out something new. Water fountains take care of both human and canine needs. This dog park has plenty of shaded seating for the human companions. Waste baggies are in good supply. Visitors to this dog park must register with the city of Sunset Hills.  There is an annual fee.
