Bay Head Shores of Point Pleasant, NJ is just about 5 miles away from Brick. Point Pleasant is another popular coastal town, and Bay Head Shores is one of the most gorgeous places to be here, with parts outlining both the Atlantic Ocean and the Metedeconk River. During the off-season from busy summer months, you and your dog can hang out at the Bay Head Beach, a gorgeous strip of sandy beach along the famed New Jersey coast. If you get hungry, head to Local Urban Kitchen, a pawtastic place to grab food made from local ingredients. Your pooch can join you at one of the outdoor tables!

Brielle and Squan

Brielle and Squan is a neighborhood in Manasquan, NJ that’s about 8 miles from Brick. This area is the home of the famed Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area, which offers water activities, like boating, swimming, and kayaking for visitors. A portion of the beach here is designated for furry friends as long as they remain on their leash at all times. The area also has two pup-friendly restaurants, both of which are close to the dog area of Fisherman’s Cove! Riverside Café offers seafood and other favorites and Carlson’s Corner has some of the best ice cream (and other goodies!) around.

Spring Lake

About 10 miles from Brick, NJ is Spring Lake, NJ, which is split into two areas: the main Spring Lake area and Spring Lake Heights. This area of Spring Lake surrounds Spring Lake itself and is home to the Spring Lake Historical Society. Here, you and your pup can enjoy a few unique, dog-friendly eateries in the area. On Third Café & Coffee is one of them, with outdoor seating for your pooch, and specializing in yummy breakfast treats and coffees. Or, try Ray’s Café if you’re in the mood for some delicious, authentic Italian fare and amazing fresh seafood.

Seaside Heights

Seaside Heights was brought to fame by the MTV show, Jersey Shore, but it’s a spot beloved by locals. The small part of an island-like strip that runs along the Atlantic Ocean, Seaside Heights is about 13 miles from Brick and offers some fun spots for you and your pup to enjoy. Le Petit Garage is one unique shop you can visit with your leashed dog that offers fun gifts and goodies, like coastal décor. You can also check out the Seaside Heights boardwalk itself with your leashed pooch, which offers tons of local eateries, shops, and arcade games. Visit Steaks Unlimited, a casual eatery with some of the locals’ most favorite sandwiches, with your dog at one of the outdoor tables.

Seaside Park

Seaside Park is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Seaside Heights boardwalk and about 13.5 miles from Brick. This area of Seaside Heights is home to Island Beach State Park, one of the most pupular spots near Brick that allows leashed dogs on its beaches during the off-season. Here, you can also take your pup year-round for a walk on the Spizzle Creek Bird Blind Trail, which runs through the park. Seaside Park also offers Betty & Nick’s, a pawtastic café that sits near the beach and cooks up some of the best breakfasts in the area. The outdoor seating welcomes dogs to dine with their owners!
