Got a dog who loves the beach? Just under two miles from Brielle is Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area in Manasquan. This spot has over 55 acres of beautiful beachy lands that locals and tourists love. The eastern section of the beach welcomes dogs and their owners to relax in the sand or splash in the water! You can also head toward the Manasquan Inlet for some paw-friendly dining. Riverside Café serves up some yummy burgers, sandwiches, and more right near the water, and the outdoor café area welcomes dogs. Carlson’s Corner is another option for a quick treat that welcomes dogs on their leashes.
On the other side of the Manasquan River from Fisherman’s Cove and only 1.5 miles from Brielle is the Channel Drive area of Point Pleasant Beach. This spot is a great place to stop if you’ve spent the day in the sun with your furry friend and want to grab a meal at a dog-friendly restaurant. The Point Lobster Co. is right here, serving up some of the best fresh lobster and other seafood you can get your hands on. Around 3.9 miles from Brielle is the Atlantic Avenue area of Allenwood. This is where you’ll find the Allenwood General Store, a pupular place for locals and tourists to grab a meal in a quaint environment. You can also get your exercise on at the Edgar Felix Memorial Bikeway, a five-mile path that welcomes doggie friends as they join their owners through wooded trails, residential neighborhoods, beautiful public parks, and more.
Allaire State Park is a little over six miles from Brielle. This is one place your outdoor-loving pup is sure to go mutts for as you explore over 3,200 acres of beautiful land. The park has picnic pavilions, camping spots, designated fishing areas, places to bird-watch, and some nature trails that dogs are welcome on. The Freehold and Jamesburg Railroad Trail is one of them that reaches into Allaire State Park and has plenty of shady areas to keep you cool as you walk. Several campsites in Allaire State Park are designated as pet-friendly, so be sure to bring your pup on your outdoor adventure with you.
It’s only a little over four miles to Spring Lake from Brielle, and this coastal town is another excellent spot for some dog-friendly dining when you’re exploring the beaches, shops, and other places the shore towns have to offer. In the Ocean to Track neighborhood, your dog can come with you to Tom Bailey’s Market.
