Hikes range from less than a quarter mile to several miles in length. The preserve also has a number of picnic sites.

There are only a few places for human companions to sit. The dog park does provide some poop bags. The dog park is located in Memorial Field Park which has ball fields, a playground, and a lake. A little on-leash exercise around the park gives a human companion some exercise, too.
