Hello there! My name is Nick and I love dogs! They have always been a part of my life and seem to naturally like me. I’d say I’m a good alpha and they always seem to listen to me very well. How different dogs should be treated comes intuitively to me as I have a knack for reading body language. I have moved to Portland about five months ago now, in which time I’ve been walking dogs with my girlfriend who is our neighborhood dog walker. I’ve met many different dogs throughout this time which has increased my knowledge of handling all sorts of different breeds. I hope to give your dogs a fantastic break and make their walks as enjoyable as possible. My goal is to make your dogs as happy as I can because I know these breaks mean a lot more than we could ever know to these little guys. That, as well as my love for all living things, is why I will be sure to give them the best experience possible!

“Dogs make this crazy world manageable.”

Dogs have always been very special to me. Before I moved, I couldn’t have a dog where I lived , so I joined Wag to have an opportunity to spend time with other people’s dogs! Now that I have moved to my forever home, I have adopted a puppy named Rosie! I have a degree in Animal Science and have owned several dogs in my lifetime, including a 155lb. Black Russian Terrier named Biggie. I’ve had dog training classes where I learned commands and safety measures. I can’t wait to meet your dog!

I am a life-long dog (animal) lover and owner. I have had my own dogs for 20 years, I have fostered a couple times, and volunteered with an inner city shelter which has provided me with a great deal of experience with all sizes, ages, breeds, and temperaments. Above all, and most importantly, dogs are my favorite and I treat them all like they're my own. I consider many of the dogs I walk like best friends and genuinely love them and look forward to walking with them :)

Hello! My name is Jess and I love dogs! When walking your dog, their happiness and safety is my priority. I like to let the dog set the mood of the walk (unless otherwise directed by you), whether that be walking with a purpose or including many stops to sniff around and make new friends. This leaves your pup as happy as possible, and I can depart with that satisfaction.

“Taking care of your pups, one walk at a time!”

Hi there! In my family there are 3 rescues ranging from personalities and size; the spunky chihuahua mix(who is also the alpha if you ask her), the cowardly black lab mix, and the cuddly, substantial boxer. Since our members are rescues who all came from different pasts, their issues range as much as they do so I have experience working with more sensitive or timid dogs who need a little extra patience as well as dogs whose energy outlasts their attention span.

Dog Walking in Frenchtown

Located along the banks of the Delaware River, the borough of Frenchtown is known for its postcard-perfect beauty. Not only are there several green parks to explore, but you will also find long-distance hiking trails and dog-friendly restaurants here, as well as two veterinary clinics, making this a pawfect place for both you and your pooch.

One of the best walks to be had in Frenchtown is along the D&R Canal State Park Trail, which extends out for just under 30 miles. This historic towpath is quite flat the whole way, and connects Frenchtown with Trenton.

When it comes to parks, Frenchtown has a few to choose from, such as the Frenchtown Boro Park. While this park does feature a playground and a couple of sporting facilities, it is also quite the wildlife haven, and is a popular spot for both bird watching and fishing. Trenton Avenue Park is another one worth visiting, and is a pawsome place for a picnic.

If you would like to treat your pooch to a meal out, there are a few dog-friendly restaurants in Frenchtown that you should definitely visit. For an eclectic French menu, head to the Frenchtown Inn, or make your way to the National Hotel Restaurant and Bar for smaller sharing plates. For Asian fusion cuisine, Bamboo House is the place to go, while Café Maria Ristorante and Pizzeria is known for their authentic Italian dishes.

With a tail-wagging mix of both urban and rural activities, it is easy to see why the canine population of Frenchtown is always so happy.
