My name is Kim and I’m a dental hygienist. I love all animals and have grown up dog sitting and walking dogs for people in my neighborhood. I am currently in the process of becoming a volunteer at the SPCA. I have a pit bull mix I rescued from the SPCA and also a cat. I love taking my dog for walks and spending my free time with him. I would love to help you care for your pets as well! I'm also good at dealing with pets with anxiety or that are hyperactive, since my current dog has those issues.
Hi there, my name is Katherine! I’m originally from Philadelphia but moved to DC for school. My first pet I grew up with, Goldie, was a Golden Retriever and Yellow Labrador mix. We added a new member to our family, Emmy, who is a boisterous Westie! I miss her dearly, which is why I wanted to become a Wag dog walker. I’ve always loved being around dogs and nothing makes me happier than spending my free time with pups of all ages and sizes. I can’t wait to meet your best friend!
I'm currently a senior at Rutgers University, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Research. I have been extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with cows, pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens through my program at school. I also volunteer on the weekends at the Happy Homes Animal Shelter with cats, and am a dog walker/cat socializer at the Ocean City Humane Society when I'm at home. I’m so happy to add that I’ve started a job as a veterinary technician at the Warren Township Animal Hospital! I grew up in South Jersey with two Standard Poodles named Mollie and Ellie. I also grown up around Pitbulls, English Springer Spaniels, miniature Poodles, Shitzus, and Boston Terriers. I absolutely love animals, and cannot wait to meet your dogs! I also have experience with hamsters, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits, snakes, lizards, turtles, and fish. I absolutely love animals, and would love to help you take care of your fur-baby while you're away. I'm also comfortable feeding and checking on cats, or other animals that may need attention while you're out of the house.
Hi, I'm Ana! I'm from Cape May, NJ where my family owns a dog named Rosie. I started dog walking and sitting for my neighbors when I was 15. I will do my best to treat your dog with love and care, and I will make sure that your Wag! experience is as smooth and positive as possible.
Maurice River Township is a rural collection of villages that offers residents a scenic lifestyle not too far from the busy cities, but far enough away to give you plenty of room to grow. Dog owners in Maurice River can expect to find plenty of open outdoor space to walk and explore with their pups. There are three animal hospitals just outside of the area in nearby Cumberland, where you will find friendly and compassionate staff to help you keep your pup in the best, tail-wagging shape possible. The township is just an hour from Atlantic City and Philadelphia, if you find yourself missing the busy city.
Dog lovers in Maurice River Township have their choice of green spaces, as there are three wildlife areas managed by the county here. You can visit these reserves as long as you keep your dog on his leash and he promises to be on his best pupperific behavior. The Belleplain State Forest is popular with dog owners who love to hike and explore. This forest is just to the east of town. If your pup loves the water, the Delaware Bay is found on the south side of the township and is the pawfect place to splash around on a hot day.
North Maurice River is a vast rural area with plenty of beautiful places to snap a spectacular selfie with your pup. There are small rivers and ponds throughout the area, as well as a large, unnamed green space just to the west along Mays Landing Road and Big Neal Branch. Just pack plenty of waste bags and make sure you keep your dog on-leash while exploring. You may also want to pack plenty of extra drinking water, especially if you will be visiting the area on a hot day. If you plan on splashing around, keep a towel in your car!
West Maurice River is rural and beautiful. This area is a puptastic place to bring your dog for an afternoon when you find yourself craving some time in nature. This area includes parts of Cumberland and the Menantico Ponds Fish and Wildlife Area. You are permitted to bring your dog to the wildlife area as long as she is on-leash and by your side. You will want to bring plenty of doggy waste bags and extra drinking water. If you visit during fishing season, you can bring your dog into the fishing areas found inside the park, just a few minutes to the north.
Leesburg is a village in Central Maurice River where dog lovers find access to the river is quick and easy. If your pup loves the water, a trip to the riverbanks of Leesburg is in order. Just grab some clean-up bags, a towel, and some snacks for both of you to enjoy while you sit in the grass and relax or chase around your dog's favorite toys. The area is home to a few streets with quaint and peaceful homes that your dog would love to call his own if you are looking to move into the area with your furry family.
East Maurice River is the pawfect neighborhood to visit if you and your dog enjoy fishing together. During fishing season, you can head to the Peasley Fish and Wildlife Management Area for a day full of barking fun, whether you just want to splash around or bring home the big one. Just bring your doggy waste bags and keep your eye on your pup while you are by the shoreline. Be mindful of other people fishing and make sure your dog stays away from lines and hooks that could entangle him. You will also want a towel for the car ride home!
South Maurice River is home to two nature preserves, which attracts many dog lovers on the weekends and during the summers. If you are looking for a relaxing place to rejuvenate and get your energy back for the week ahead, be sure to check out the Eldora Nature Preserve. You can walk the paths throughout the area with your dog on-leash. You can also fish in the ponds, which are stocked during fishing season. If all you want is some quiet time in the grass, spread out a blanket and enjoy the view with your cuddly pup while you read a book or throw around a tennis ball.
