North Stone Harbor
North Stone Harbor is a delightful neighborhood in this busy resort town. You will find the Stone Harbor Playground is surrounded by grass where you can let your dog roll and play fetch with you all afternoon if you choose. You just need to bring enough waste bags for the trip and be sure to clean up after yourselves before leaving the area. You will find Smuggler's Cove is a great place for a nature walk along the water on the northwestern side of the neighborhood. You and your dog are welcome on a leash; just don't forget to bring some drinking water.36

Central Stone Harbor
Central Stone Harbor is a pretty, residential part of town where both residents and seasonal tourists like to spend their time exploring the shops before heading to the boardwalk located in the eastern part of town. Your dog is welcome to join you as you walk the main strip -- just be ready to make lots of new friends during the peak tourist months of May through October. The Stone Harbor Recreational Department has a small outdoor park where you and your dog can enjoy some grass and open space for running and playing if you need a break from the busier streets in town.24

South Stone Harbor
South Stone Harbor is a wonderful place for you and your dog to explore the greener parts of this exciting summer town. You will find several bayside green spaces where you can take your dog for a leisurely walk on a warm day or a cool evening. Paradise Bay and Sanctuary Bay are both popular with local dog walkers looking for a quiet place to get some fresh air with their four-legged walking buddies. You will find plenty of room to roam here, as well at Sand Marsh Cove, but your dog will need a harness for a safer walk with you.12

Ocean Drive/3rd Avenue
This small junction is a pretty area for dog walkers to visit. The famous Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary can be found in this part of town. While your dog's presence will not be appreciated by the feathery friends who reside inside, you will find the paths that weave around the sanctuary are more than satisfactory for a scenic walk with your dog and won't disturb the birds one bit. You will, of course, need to remember your waste bags and your pup will need to mind his manners while making your way through this unique summer gem in the middle of Stone Harbor.
