Fernwood Ave

Directly adjacent to Northfield is the Pleasantville neighborhood of Fernwood Ave, and although this may be quite a residential neighborhood, there are a couple of parks here worth a visit. The largest is the Park Ave Park, where you will find a few different sports fields, a small play area, a fitness station and a paved walking path. Also in this neighborhood is the JB Smith Park, with its tennis courts, play area, and a grassy lawn for Fido to frolic about in. If Fido wants to keep walking, a couple of blocks from here is the JB Smith Playground, featuring a large play area surrounded by open green space.

Gold Coast Linwood

Less than a mile from Northfield is the Gold Coast Linwood neighborhood in Linwood, and there are a couple of large green areas here that are pawfect for a dog walk. Begin at the Linwood City Park, which is a passive park featuring a wide variety of vegetation, shady trees, and some short walking trails. Right next to this park is a 1720 acre green space known as Meadowland. This section of Linwood is being preserved for its natural diversity and native wildlife, and the trails that run through here are always fun to explore. While dogs are welcome at both parks, you will need to make sure you keep Fido on a lead at all times.

Linwood Bike Path

The Linwood Bike Path neighborhood in Linwood is less than a mile from Northfield, and is home to the Linwood Bike Path. This paved path stretches out for six and a half miles, running through four different cities, meaning that there will always be something new to see on this walk. If your pooch would prefer a park, pay a visit to the All Wars Memorial Park. This is quite a large urban park with plenty to see, from its sports facilities and playground to its roller hockey rink, as well as a paved path that will take you and Fido through the park.

Terry Place

Terry Place in Egg Harbor Township is less than a mile from Northfield, and offers up some pawtastic dog walks. The best can be found at the Childs-Kirk Memorial Park, which is a popular park with families thanks to its large and modern playground area. The park is also home to several sports facilities, as well as a paved path that loops its way around the park. If your pooch wants to walk some more, Terry Place provides access to the Egg Harbor Township Park. This is a passive park filled with mature trees, ideal for a tail-wagging walk with Fido.

Marina Del Ray

Marina Del Ray in Pleasantville is about a mile away from Northfield, and there is plenty here to keep you and Fido busy. Begin with a stroll around the Leeds Ave Park, where you will find a baseball field, tennis courts, a playground, and a short walking path. Then, take a walk around the Bright Ave Recreation Center, which features a large grassy outdoor area that Fido will love. If you and your pup need somewhere nearby to spend the night, the Ramada West Atlantic City allows two dogs per guest room per night, for a small additional charge. Keep in mind that the pet-friendly rooms are limited, so you will need to book in advance.
