The city of Linwood, New Jersey was originally named Leedsville. The United States Post Office advised that the name needed to be changed because it was causing problems since there was another city with the same name. In 1880, the town was renamed Linwood, a name which won out over three other options.

You'll need a membership to play here, though. You can pay the weekly visitor fee of $10 or purchase a yearly pass. There are 3 sections in this park: the first is for smaller dogs, the second is for larger dogs and the third is a dog run. The surface of the park is covered in sand and there is plenty of seating and shade available. The park offers waste bags, waste disposal areas and equipment for your pooch to play on. You will need to bring your own water, as none is provided.
Brant Beach is a little over an hour away from Linwood, but the drive is worth it for this pawesome spot! This beach welcomes canine friends as long as they stay on their leash during their visit.
