The highlight of this neighborhood is Heritage Park, a tidy little park with a walking path that travels through the most scenic areas and a small lake to add to the surrounding natural air. It’s the perfect detour to take on your daily walk, so long as you keep your pup properly leashed at all times. Remember to bring enough water for the two of you, as there isn’t easy access to it at this park. You’ll definitely have a sniff-tastic time with your pooch!

Right off South New Road is a gorgeous walking trail that loops around to West California Avenue along Conover’s Creek. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, for both their safety and yours.  If you need space to run, the park at the end of Franklin Boulevard, simply called Franklin Boulevard Playground, is the perfect spot to let your pup stretch his legs. This little neighborhood park boasts a large playground and an extensive green field to burn off all that puppy energy and have a pawtastic time!

Home to Longport Dog Beach, this off leash beach offers a place for you and your pup to run free in the sand and the waves, perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day and for socializing with other local dog lovers.  The sand is smooth and the waters are mellow, making this an ideal spot for playing with your favorite four legged friend. There are no trash cans or drinking water access points on site, so plan to dispose of all trash off the site and bring water enough for you and your furry pooch.
