Located about seven miles from Atlantic City, Longport offers a quiet atmosphere where Fido and his family can enjoy beautiful water views and close proximity to Ocean City’s boardwalk. When your pup needs a walk, head down Atlantic Avenue and chat with your friends and neighbors along the way while enjoying the breeze off the water.

Pups also enjoy spending time at the Seaview Harbor Marina just across the Longport Bridge. You can stroll with your pooch along the banks of the water while he sniffs all the plants and water animals. The area is family friendly, and you will usually see other pup parents out getting some exercise with their pooch.

Although Longport doesn’t have any veterinarians in the center of town, just two minutes up the road to Margate or Ventnor offers three vet clinics where your pup can receive emergency care and make routine appointments. Jolly Pets Supplies is another great local business where you can purchase food, treats, and accessories for your pampered pooch.

If you enjoy living near the water and spending time with your pup in a relaxing environment, Longport is the perfect destination.

The beach is a great spot to let Fido run around and splash in the water. Sit on one of the benches and chat with friends while the pups play. The dog beach is separated from the road by a small body of water, but there is no fence, so you need to keep an eye on Fido. To keep the beach clean, make sure to bring some doggie waste bags.
