Dog Areas in Pomona, NJ

Located right next to the Atlantic City International Airport is the small city of Pomona. This city is primarily a residential area, so inhabitants usually venture outside of their city to find things for their pups to do.

If you are a Pomona resident or are looking to become one, don't worry, because there is plenty of stuff to do only a short drive from home! You can take advantage of plenty of small parks around the city, as well as large national forests and nature preserves in the vicinity. You can spend the day relaxing, hiking, fishing, or just basking in the sun's rays. No matter what outdoor destination you choose, you will have a pawtastic time at all the incredible places nearby to take your entire family -- furry family members included!

However, nature is not the only thing you and your pup can enjoy while you're here. You can always spend some time at the casinos in Atlantic City. Another option is heading to the great city of Philadelphia. There is no shortage of restaurants, bars, museums, activities, and parks in the area. Just make sure you check with each venue to see if pooches are allowed. Plus, it never hurts to keep an extra leash, water, and doggie poop bags in your bag at all times.

    #2 Germania Gardens

Although Gabriel Gardens are technically in another city, Egg Harbor City, the drive from Pomona is only a few minutes. This park is not a dog park, but it has plenty of space for you and your pooch to exercise, walk, and play. It also has a sports field where you will often see children playing baseball. However, it is important to remember this is not a dog park, so you will have to keep your pup leashed at all times. In addition, make sure you take your own doggie poop bags and water, as the park is pretty bare bones. (Pun totally intended.)
