East Port Republic
Even though Mill Pond Trails is located in another city, Port Republic, it is only a nine-minute drive from Pomona. Mill Pond Trails is one of the most frequented parks in the area due to its extensive hiking and walking trails, secluded areas, and beautiful nature views. The park also has a kiosk where you can find maps of the various trails you and your pooch can take. Just make sure you keep your pup on a leash at all times and take your own doggie poop bags and water. Trust us -- your pup will have a pawesome time!36

Germania Gardens
Although Gabriel Gardens are technically in another city, Egg Harbor City, the drive from Pomona is only a few minutes. This park is not a dog park, but it has plenty of space for you and your pooch to exercise, walk, and play. It also has a sports field where you will often see children playing baseball. However, it is important to remember this is not a dog park, so you will have to keep your pup leashed at all times. In addition, make sure you take your own doggie poop bags and water, as the park is pretty bare bones. (Pun totally intended.)24

Pork Island Wildlife Management Area
If you drive only half an hour to the city of Longport, you will find the Pork Island Wildlife Management Area. This huge wildlife preserve has everything you and your pooch could ever want. It is a gigantic stretch of land surrounded by water. This way, you get to enjoy the scenic views of the water from within a lush green forest. The park also has plenty of hiking trails that you and your pooch can walk, run, or bike on. Just make sure you take a leash, as this is not an off-leash dog park and safety comes first!12

East Estell Manor
Although the city of Woodbine is forty minutes away from Pomona, it is home to Tuckahoe-Corbin City Fish and Wildlife Management Area, making it well worth the drive. This gigantic park has something for everyone. It has plenty of grassy open places where you and your pooch can relax. It also has many water sources where you can go crabbing and fishing with your pooch! Plus, the entire park is full of wildlife and beautiful vegetation. Just make sure you keep a pup on a leash so you don't get separated in this vast park. Pack some waste bags, too -- no one likes a litterbug!
Town Center
You are incredibly lucky if you live in Pomona, because you are only half an hour from Wharton State Forest.
