If you want to take a walk in the park with your dog, head over to Peace Pilgrim Park. This small and tranquil park welcomes dogs on-leash, and it has a short paved trail that goes past a waterway, a peace pole, and a butterfly garden. There’s also a gazebo and picnic tables where you can sit and relax with your pup. If you want to grab lunch with your dog after your walk, check out Joseph’s Restaurant at Renault Winery. This restaurant has two dog-friendly tables, and they serve delicious burgers, pasta dishes, flatbreads, and more.

Ocean Drive
Want to spend the day at the beach with your dog? Head over to Longport Dog Beach in Somers Point. Located about 19 miles from Egg Harbor City, this beach welcomes dogs off-leash all year round. Although both dogs and humans aren’t allowed to swim at this beach, you and your pup can splash around on the shoreline. You can also go for long, leisurely strolls on the sand and enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean. Or, you can simply relax on a blanket with your pup. Bring water for your dog and some doggy bags, and have a great day out at the beach!

Brigantine Avenue
This neighborhood is home to another pawsitively amazing dog-friendly beach, Brigantine Beach. This beach is about 24 miles from Egg Harbor City. Dogs are allowed on-leash on the northern end of this beach all year round, and they’re also allowed in the beach’s Natural Area from September to May. Bring some doggy bags and water for you and your pup, and have a fun day in the sun. If walking on the beach makes you hungry, take your dog over to The Pirates Den. This nautical-themed restaurant has ten dog-friendly outdoor tables, and they serve locally-caught seafood, classic Italian dishes, steak sandwiches, and more.

Zion Park
Zion Park is home to the beautiful Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve, which is about 16 miles from Egg Harbor City. This reserve allows dogs on-leash, and it has two trails: the 1.6-mile Blue Trail and the 3.8-mile Orange Trail. These trails go through beautiful forests, past a large lake, and up hills, providing stunning views of the surrounding area. After you’re finished walking through the park, treat yourself and your pup to lunch at Sublime Seafood Company. This restaurant and market has three dog-friendly outdoor tables, and they serve fish sandwiches, lobster rolls, po’ boys, grilled fish dishes, and much more.

42nd Street South
If you’re looking for a park where your pup can run and play off-leash, head over to Natasha & Nikita Weiss Dog Park. This Brigantine dog park is about 19 miles from Egg Harbor City, and it has separate large and small dog areas. Both areas are fenced in and covered in mulch, and there are plenty of benches for owners to sit on. There’s also water available for your dog. To use the dog park, you’ll have to fill out a one-time application and pay a small fee. Once you do that, you’ll be able to use the dog park anytime you’d like. Your dog will love playing and meeting other pups in this dog park.
