Hammonton Town Center
The Town Center of Hammonton offers up some pawsome dog walks, beginning with the Boyer Avenue Recreational Park. Not only are there several sports facilities here, but this park is also home to the Hammonton Dog Park. This is quite a new dog park, and is the pawfect place for your pooch to run free off the lead. There are separate areas for smaller and larger dogs here, and while both residents and non-residents can use the park, you will need to first register your dog with the city before entering. If your pup still needs some more exercise, this neighborhood also provides access to the 122,880 acre Wharton State Forest, the largest state forest in all of the USA. There are multiple recreational opportunities here, from hiking to mountain biking to canoeing, just make sure to keep your pooch on a lead at all times.

Winslow/ Andrews
The Winslow/ Andrews neighborhood in Sicklerville is directly adjacent to Hammonton, and is home to some incredibly scenic green areas. One of the finest is the Winslow Fish and Wildlife Management Area, which this neighborhood provides access to. This spacious stretch of wilderness is home to woodlands, ponds, and a variety of hiking trails that your pooch will love. Also in this neighborhood is the 758 acre New Brooklyn County Park, which is home to a playground, picnic areas and several miles of unmarked trails. If you and Fido need somewhere nearby to spend the night, the Rodeway Inn welcomes pets of any size to stay in guest rooms for a small additional fee.

Egg Harbor City City Center
The City Center of Egg Harbor City is adjacent to Hammonton, and is an exciting area to explore with your pooch. The 972 acre Bear Creek Preserve is home to so much biodiversity, with everything from endangered animals to rare plants calling this park their home. There are a few unmarked trails that you and Fido can follow here, just make sure to keep your pooch on a lead, and don't forget to bring some doggie bags and drinking water with you. Egg Harbor City's City Center is also home to the Peace Pilgrim Park, where you will find a playground, picnic tables and historic monuments.

Germania
The Germania neighborhood in Egg Harbor City is about six miles from Hammonton, and is a pawtastic place to go if you would like to spend a few hours wining and dining your pooch. Begin with an urban dog walk around the tree-shaded neighborhood before stopping off at Joseph's Restaurant at the Renault Winery. This dog-friendly restaurant specializes in authentic Italian cuisine from all over Italy, with a full-service bar featuring actual wine casks. The restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner, with live jazz performances accompanying their Sunday brunch. There are two dog-friendly tables here where you and Fido can dine together, although you would be best off phoning ahead to reserve one of these tables for yourself, especially on weekends.

East Buena
East Buena in Buena is about six miles from Hammonton, and is the place to go if you are seeking a long walk in the wilderness. This is where you will find the 417 acre Pancoast Preserve, which boasts a variety of different forested areas, as well as plenty of diversity when it comes to plant and animal life, from turkeys and deer to squirrels and owls. There are a few tree-lined trails that criss-cross their way through the park, following along old logging roads from the 1980's. Dogs are welcome throughout the Pancoast Preserve, so long as they are kept on a lead at all times, and owners clean up after them.
