A trip to Philly is just a twenty-mile drive.
Pine Valley is so tiny that all of its governmental departments are contained within one converted shingled farmhouse. The visitors to Pine Valley, though, may have more than a few dollars in the bank. The majority of the land of the borough is occupied by the Pine Valley Golf Course. This golf course is an exclusive club. Membership to the club is by invitation only and is restricted to men. Other visitors to Pine Valley will have to look to the surrounding communities to get some activity with their pup.
Nature Trail Park is a free adventure for a person and a furry family member. Nature Trail is located in Somerdale, just a five-mile journey to the north. The trail is a heavily forested three-quarter of a mile trek. The path is rock and dirt and is of moderate difficulty. A few benches along the hike give a hiker and a worn-out pup a chance to get a second wind.
Another good option for some outdoor exercise is Berlin Park. This park is located only five miles east of Pine Valley. Berlin has over 150 acres of recreational land. Five miles of nature trails will give you and your pup plenty of fresh air and exercise amid some mature trees. Your furry companion must remain on a leash for these excursions.
A trip just five miles east of Pine Valley lies the small community of Berlin. This small community has some stops that need to be included on your doggie to-do list. The local park is a great place t play or walk up an appetite. Afterward, stop into town for an ice cream treat at The Cold Cow. Four outdoor tables will make your four-legged companion comfortable. For a full meal, check out Ollie Gators Pub. This restaurant welcomes you and your four-legged dining guest at one of its outdoor tables. The cuisine of Louisiana is on the menu here. Bone Appetit!
Blackwood is located six miles west of Pine Valley. The huge dog park at Timber Creek Park will surely give your pup a good deal of fun in the sun and a lot of leash-free exercise! This dog park has nine acres of natural terrain which are completely enclosed for the best in off-leash playtime. No leash inhibits the canines in this dog park! All pups play together in this single space. The pack is playful here, and all exhibit the best of manners. Nine acres is enough space so a pup rarely gets under another's fur. Don't miss the swimming lake in the main park area. It is a woof-wonderful cooling down experience!
The big city of Philadelphia is just a twenty-mile drive to the north of Pine Valley. Schuylkill River Dog Park attracts dogs from all over Philly and beyond. This favorite dog park has two wholly fenced spaces for your pup's outdoor exercise and fun. The dog park features a double-gated entry so no furry friend gets lost! The human companions will find plenty of shaded benches and picnic tables from which to supervise their pups' play. The surface of the dog park is mostly astroturf. Waste stations supply some environmentally-safe doggie bags, and a water fountain keeps all hydrated on even those hottest days. A hose is a handy way to cool a pup down or rinse off before the ride home.
Medford is located fourteen miles north of Pine Valley. Give your pup a special treat and head on over to Freedom Dog Park! This phenomenal place for your fur-baby truly offers liberty from the leash. Twenty acres of fields and forest await your pup -- as long as your pooch can handle that much freedom. This dog park is not completely fenced -- pet parents will need to have good voice control. Also, all pups of every size play in this one area, so pawfect manners are a must! A water station in front of the property is a great convenience for two and four-legged visitors.
Cherry Hill is located nineteen miles north of Pine Valley. The woof is out about the fun at the Cooper River Dog Park. Your pup can shed that leash and exercise with canine-kind in this completely fenced dog park. A separately fenced section of the dog park is reserved for small dogs too. The ground here is a mixture of green grass and gray stone. Water fountains are situated within the dog park -- a nice bonus! The human companions welcome the many shaded benches from which to supervise their furry pals. This dog park has lighting so a longer excursion is not out of the question.
