Hello! My name is Michele, and I am a high school biology teacher. I love animals! I previously had a dog of my own, but cannot own another one right now. That's why I would love to take your pup for walks around the neighborhood or at a nearby park. I loved taking my former dog for walks on local hiking trails and to the dog park for playtime. Can't wait for an enjoyable walk with your dog!

“Your friendly neighborhood dog walker”

I started pet sitting when I was in high school. Several of my friends had dogs that I would care for while they were away. To make extra money in college I began to walk and then board a local Shiba Inu; a gig I kept until I started working full time. I have always loved animals, but was unable to have any as a child because of allergies some of my family members have. Now my wife and I currently have two dogs (a beagle and a havanese/poodle mix), three cats, two rabbits, and a conure.

I go the extra mile for the dogs in my care. I have over 12 years experience fostering dogs with special medical needs so giving medications or IV fluids is not an issue. I only feed holistic food and treats and purchase toys made in the USA. I will treat your pets like they were my own. I love to exercise and run so if your dog is active, I am the sitter for you. My own pets are very friendly to other dogs I can separate your dogs from my own. My cats and caged pets are kept away from the dogs so interaction is not an issue if your dog does not like them. I have had dogs and cats for over 40 years and have excellent references from adopters and current clients.

Dog Walking in Monmouth Junction

Monmouth Junction is located within the Township of South Brunswick, New Jersey. There is one animal hospital in this community to keep your best friend happy and healthy during your stay.

Make sure your pooch gets his daily exercise by taking him for a leashed walk at Reichler Park. This clean and well-kept park has plenty of open space for Fido to explore, as well as baseball fields, a basketball court, a skate park, a playground, and picnic areas. And since Reichler Park sits next to train tracks, it's not unlikely that you'll see a train passing by while you're there.

Another furrific spot to take your pup for a stroll is Woodlot Park. Aside from ball fields, sports courts, playgrounds, and a community center, this park features trails that will lead you and Fido around the woods. Enjoy a quiet walk in nature with your furry buddy, then head to the picnic areas to tuck into a packed lunch.

Grab Fido's things and favorite treats for a fun afternoon at Haven Pond Park. Play some fetch on the open fields and have a picnic by the pond. This 13-acre neighborhood park also houses a playground and trails. If you feel like going for a longer walk, head to the Monmouth Junction Freedom Trail, which is less than half a mile from Haven Pond Park. Following the abandoned rail line from New Rd to Stouts Ln, this trail is part of the ongoing Freedom Trail Bikeway project, which will eventually connect parks and open spaces throughout South Brunswick. As always, keep Fido leashed and clean up after him.

Spanning 111 acres, Sondek is a major park complex that includes multiple sports fields, playgrounds, a brush recycling area, and a picnic pavilion. But the features that your pooch will appreciate the most would be the paved walking paths, open field area, nature trails, and woods. Veterans Park, which is dedicated in memory of all South Brunswick veterans, features a roller hockey court, exercise stations, sensory gardens, and a walking path. If you and Fido start at the playground and go around the circle and gardens before heading back to the playground, you'll be able to cover half a mile. The larger Beech Woods Park, which is less than a mile away, also has walking paths, plus trails that meander through the woods. This natural park hosts concerts during the summer, but otherwise it's a quiet spot despite being near the highway.
