Somerset Hills Bedminster
If your pup is anxious for some off-leash play, load up the car and head over to Colonial Dog Park! Like-minded friends await you. This popular dog park has plenty of fully fenced green space for some off-leash exercise. A small dog area serves those little guys' needs. The human companions will find several shaded picnic tables. Waste stations are fully stocked with poop bags for those necessary pick-ups. No water is available at the dog park; however, access to water is not far away. The main park has water and numerous amenities. A paved fitness trail and an easy nature trail are worth checking out with your leashed pup.36

Pluckemin
The Pluckemin neighborhood in Bedminster is less than twenty miles north of Somerset. Burnt Mills Park has a half-acre where your pup can have some leash-free fun! This large grassy space is fully fenced so your furry pal can shed that leash. Note that this dog park lacks a separate space for the smaller dogs. This dog park does not have water, but convenient waste stations with ample supplies of doggie bags help keep it clean. The main park has ten acres of open grassy places for some room to move with a fenced dog. Picnic sites make a packed lunch or snack a good idea. Nothing like sharing a meal with a four-legged family member in the great outdoors!24

Bedminster
The Far Hills neighborhood in Bedminster is just a short seventeen-mile drive for some off-leash exercise. River Road Dog Park calls your dog to run and play sans leash in its fully fenced dog park. Polite dogs can enjoy this half-acre dog playground. No separate safe space is reserved for the little pups. Pet parents have some benches from which to supervise their furry family members at play. No water is provided, but waste stations stand like sentinels stocked with supplies watching for those who fail to clean up. The main park offers some more opportunities to bond with a pup. A leash is required, though. Fishing, picnic sites, and access to a walking trail can be found in the main park.12

Woodbridge is located twenty miles east of Somerset. Woodbridge Dog Park is a woof-derful play place for canines! This grassy dog park is fenced so your pooch can play safely. A separately fenced area is dedicated to small dogs. Your pup will pawsitively love playing and training on the agility equipment here! Water fountains for dogs and pups allow the play to continue a wee bit longer on even the hottest days. People will find some restful shaded benches and a decorative white gazebo for their comfort. Waste stations supply dog waste baggies. This pooch playground is located in Alvin P. Williams Park. It is free and open to the public.1
