Wantagh Woods
Will your dog only settle for pizza that is made the right way? Long Island pups know there's a right way to make a pizza, and there's a wrong way make pizza. In the Wantagh Woods neighborhood, you can find Umberto's Pizzeria & Restaurant, which has been serving pies the right way for over half a century. At Umberto's, you're more than welcome to have Fido accompany you as you gorge on traditional slices like Umberto's Grandma Pizza, which was featured on the Food Network! Also delicious at Umberto's is the Pescatore and Gnoochi Napoletana. Make sure you bring your appetite! Bone appetit!

South Wantagh
Does your dog love it when you take his leash off so he can chase other pups around at the dog park? In the South Wantagh neighborhood, he can do just that! At the Cedar Creek Park, there is a dog run located in field #7. There are two fenced-in areas — one for the big guys and one for the little guys. There are also walking paths, basketball courts, and even a drone field if that's your thing. Also in the South Wantagh neighborhood is Wantagh Park, which has a 2.2-mile fitness trail perfect for an athletic stroll with the "doge." The park also has a swimming area and a fenced dog run for off-leash playtime.

Bellmore
Does your dog have a sophisticated palate? If your dog loves authentic South American food as much as he loves the Long Island takes on Italian, then Bellmore is the neighborhood for your gourmand doggie! In the Bellmore neighborhood, you'll find Chicken's Road. This Venezuelan restaurant serves up specialties like Jumbo Sized Empanadas and Pernil Latin Style Pork. If you're hankering for some Italian, then you and your dog can head over to Per' Un' Angelo. This Long Island favorite has a great dish of Scaloppine Marsala and Filetto Alla Griglia Con Portobello. If Fido's lucky, he might just get a bite.

The Bellmore location is dog-friendly and has lunch specials like 'Bark-B-Q' Steak Wrap and home-style Chicken Pot Pie.

North Bellmore
Is your pup an Islanders or a Rangers fan? Either way, he's welcome to cheer for his team at Philly Pretzel Factory, located in North Bellmore. (Just make sure he doesn't bark for the Flyers! This would be a '"faux paw" on Long Island). At the Philly Pretzel Factory, you and your pup can gorge on delicious pretzel inventions like the Pretzel Cheesteak or a Pepperoni Pretzel Melt. It's dog-friendly and it's delicious!
