Von Marie met Beans, for the first time and it honestly couldn t have gone more perfectly. From the moment she walked in, Von Marie was so warm, calm, and SUPER excited to meet him. Beans can be a little shy at first, but she was patient, gentle, and gave him the time he needed to feel comfortable. Within minutes, he was completely at ease with her. It was so sweet to see. She sent thoughtful updates and adorable photos of their adventure together! We re so grateful to have found Von Marie and will absolutely be booking with her again. Salisbury East in Westbury is just a little under four miles from East Meadow. This area is where you’ll find the Eisenhower Red Golf Course and Eisenhower Park, one of the biggest public parks located near New York City. This park has an off-leash dog park that owners enjoy for its large space, grassy areas, and lots of friends for their dogs to play with. The neighborhood also has a couple of restaurants that welcome furry paws, like Bagel Boss, where you and your pup can sit at an outdoor table and enjoy some coffee and a fresh bagel sandwich.

Wantagh Woods

About 7.5 miles from East Meadow is Wantagh Woods, a neighborhood in Seaford that’s only minutes away from the water. This is a great place to take your outdoor-loving dog for a break from the city and some new adventures. Seaford Cedar Creek Park is in the neighborhood, which makes for a pawfect spot for some outdoor play. Take your leashed dog around the park to visit the kids on the playground, watch some sporting events, or take a hike on one of several hiking and biking trails. There’s even an off-leash dog park located in the park to give your pup a chance to run.

West Hills

West Hills in Huntington is a little over 16 miles from East Meadow. This neighborhood hosts the West Hills County Park and the West Hills Nature Preserve, two incredible spots that are just the thing your adventurous dog will go mutts for. The nature preserve has some trails where you and your leashed pup can walk or jog and take in some pretty sights. Or, you can visit the County Park for some all-day fun, which also has hiking trails plus campgrounds, picnic areas, and some spots for bird watching. Take your pup to the enclosed dog park where he can run off his leash and make some new friends.

Mott Section

About 5.8 miles from East Meadow is the Mott Section neighborhood of Garden City. This area is a great place for you and Spot to stop if you’re in the mood for something to eat because it has several dog-friendly restaurants waiting for you to enjoy them. Sushi Ya is a fun hibachi place that has some outdoor tables for you and your favorite pup. Revel Restaurant and Bar is nearby, offering a three-course menu in an incredible atmosphere. Or try Calagero’s for your favorite authentic Italian meals. You can enjoy the view from the beautiful outdoor patio with your pup.

Bay Park

The Bay Park area of East Rockaway is just under 11 miles from East Meadow. This pupular area is the home of Bay Park itself, which sits right on the water. Although your pup isn’t allowed in the park, he can still get some fun in the sun by visiting the Bay Park Dog Park located within. This park has fencing all around to keep dogs safe and let them run, and you’ll also find a small and large dog run to keep dogs of different sizes separated. The park has plenty of gorgeous grass to run in, and your dog can even get a front-row view of the water.
