There are numerous areas that you can play paddleball or handball at as well. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you, and don't forget your clean-up bags.

Take your pup out to get a sweet treat with you at Carvel Ice Cream. This ice cream palor is known for their uniquely shaped ice cream. They offer soft-serve, sundaes, shakes, plus novelties and treats. Your dog will be dying to get a taste of your fried ice cream, so grab a small cup for him and indulge in your treats on their dog friendly outdoor patio. Carvel is the perfect spot to stop into before or after visiting the park with your four legged friend and cooling off before heading out onto your next adventure together.

Lindenmere Drive/ Merrick Road

Head out to Cammanns Pond County Park with your furry pal by your side. The park sits on a pond, perfect if your pup loves playing in the water. Check out the great trail that you and your dog can use for a great walk, plus there are benches if you want to take a break, and plenty of grassy areas for a game of fetch. The park is often filled with a lot of wildlife, so make sure to keep your pup on a leash while you are visiting. Bring clean-up bags along with you.

The Newbridge Road Park is a beautiful park to visit with your four legged friend.The park offers some great amenities, like an outdoor pool, sports courts, a playground, and a picnic area. There is plenty of grass for fetch, and a nice paved walking path that your pup can use for a walk. The park is also home to a dog park which offers two separated areas for large and small dogs. There is agility equipment in the park, grass to run along, and benches for owners to sit on. Located in Bellmore, and only two miles out of Merrick, your pup will love hanging out here.
