There’s also some fun agility equipment for your dog to play on, including ramps to climb up and hoops to jump through. While your dog plays, you can watch from one of the park’s shady benches. If you or your pup get thirsty, both human and doggy water fountains are available. Bring a tennis ball or a Frisbee, and have a great time playing with your dog here!

Bay Park

When you’re in this residential East Rockaway neighborhood, you won’t want to miss Bay Park Dog Park. Located seven miles from Lido Beach, this dog park includes separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Both areas feature grassy fields with plenty of space for dogs to run and play, and water is available for your pup. If you want to get a sweet treat with your dog after the park, head over to Carvel Ice Cream. This ice cream shop allows dogs at their outdoor tables, and they offer a wide variety of soft-serve ice cream flavors, shakes, and sundaes.

Oakland Gardens

If you’re looking for a great place to take your dog for an on-leash hike, check out Alley Pond Park. This park is 26 miles from Lido Beach, and it has five trails to explore with your dog. If you’d like to go on a long trek through the woods, try the 2.2-mile White Trail. Or, if you’d like to hike around lovely Alley Creek, go on the 2.2-mile Yellow Trail. If you’d rather go on a shorter stroll, the woodsy 0.8-mile Red Trail or the 0.7-mile Blue Trail are both perfect for you. Bring water and doggy bags, and have a pawsitively amazing time hiking here with your dog!

Clocks Boulevard

When you’re in this Massapequa neighborhood, you won’t want to miss the Town of Oyster Bay Dog Park. This wooded dog park is 18 miles from Lido Beach, and it has separate enclosures for large and small dogs to play in. If your pup gets hot while they’re playing, the park has two sun shelters. Plus, the park also has communal water bowls for thirsty pups. After the park, continue your fun day out with lunch at All American Hamburger Drive-In. This casual eatery allows dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve classic cheeseburgers, fish fillet, hot dogs, and shakes.

South Wantagh

South Wantagh is a residential neighborhood with an off-leash area your dog is sure to love: Wantagh Dog Park. Located 13.5 miles from Lido Beach, this off-leash area features separate large and small dog areas. Both areas have Astroturf, and there are plenty of benches for owners to sit on. Bring water with you, and have a ball at this park! If you want to get a bite to eat with your dog after the park, try Per un Angelo. Grab a table on their dog-friendly back patio, and enjoy the restaurant’s classic Northern Italian cuisine. This hotel restaurant is a local favorite you and Fido are sure to love. Bone Appetit!
