This neighborhood is home to Lido Beach’s one off-leash area, Nickerson Beach Park Dog Run. This beachside dog run has two separate enclosures: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. There’s also some fun agility equipment for your dog to play on, including ramps to climb up and hoops to jump through. While your dog plays, you can watch from one of the park’s shady benches. If you or your pup get thirsty, both human and doggy water fountains are available. Bring a tennis ball or a Frisbee, and have a great time playing with your dog here!

Located seven miles from Lido Beach, this dog park includes separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. If you want to get a sweet treat with your dog after the park, head over to Carvel Ice Cream. This ice cream shop allows dogs at their outdoor tables, and they offer a wide variety of soft-serve ice cream flavors, shakes, and sundaes.

If you’d rather go on a shorter stroll, the woodsy 0.8-mile Red Trail or the 0.7-mile Blue Trail are both perfect for you.
