Hi there. My name is Dan. I go to school at GW, and I'm looking to walk some local pooches to help pay for school. I'm new to the world of professional pet care, but I'm no stranger to caring for dogs. I have a basset hound mix named Bon Bon back home (who I miss like crazy) that I've loved and cared for the past 8 years. I've also had experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors and relatives. I look forward to getting out to meet some new pups and brighten their days.

When I can I take her everywhere with me and do all that I can to make sure she has the best life that she can possibly have. It is my goal to open up a cuddle business where I offer love and support, reiki, therapy, and art lessons to those that would like to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. I have a background in psychology that I use everyday to understand all the living beings around me to adapt to the best possible way to interact with them as well as understand what makes them tick as a being.

“Walkin’ Rover all over!”

I walk my dogs every day, and in the 18 years that I have owned dogs, this has been my daily routine and joy. I personally trained my dogs to walk well on a leash. One of my dogs was two years old when I adopted him, and he was never trained to walk on a leash before. Now he loves to go on walks with his family. I would be an excellent walker for another dog owner. I am very reliable and responsible, and I treat my canine friends with kindness, respect, and love.

Hi my name is Jillian and I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant. I have experience working in ASPCA's Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital. After working there I went on to walk dogs, I found I enjoyed it much more because I was able to bond more with the dogs and it brought me so much joy to learn their unique personalities. I treat your babies like my babies. I respect all your wishes for your dog and I respect what your dog likes and doesn't like. I bring a lot of compassion, joy, and lots of positive energy to your doggy. I assure you that you and your doggy will be happy with me.

Dog Walking in Freeport

Freeport, New York is a bedroom community for New York City, but that doesn't mean it's a sleepy little town! It is actually a quite busy little town with a dense population and some commercial areas. Freeport got its name because it was literally the free port where the sailors could spend some downtime. They were encouraged to get out and explore the many booths that had goods for trade. Back then, getting to the Big Apple took a lot longer than it does today, so Freeport was a convenient spot for shopping and trading.

While you're here, you should take your dog for a walk along the Nautical Mile which features restaurants, taverns, and boardwalks along the beach. Be sure to bring a leash, plenty of water, and some snacks, because you and Fido will want to explore all day long!

Freeport has plenty of green recreational areas, as well as a couple of dog-friendly eateries where you and your hound can chow down, making it the pawfect place for dog owners to live or visit!

Cow Meadow Park should be first on your list of places to visit in Freeport. This park has a barktastic 173 acres to explore. You can walk the hiking trails, find a place to fish, or even play a game of ball. There is a beach here, but dogs aren't allowed to play there, unfortunately. While you are here, you have to keep your dog on a leash at all times. There are restrooms and water fountains, but they are located in the playgrounds. You will want to have your own water with you while you enjoy the beautiful trails. You can easily spend all day long exploring this park!

Millburn Creek Park is 24 acres of green space set up for you and your family to play. This is a great spot to bring your dog for a walk or a hike. The trail is paved so that you can walk or jog along the trail safely. If you happen to own a boat, you'll find a boat launch here so you and Fido can do some seafaring. You will want to bring your own water because there is no running here. You will want to bring your own doggie waste bags as well. If you are looking for a quiet place to walk without a big crowd, look no fur-ther! Be aware that there are bikes along this trail.

If you and Fido are craving some classic pub fare, you'd be barking mad to miss out on Jeremy's Ale House. This cozy pub is housed in a brewery that's over a century old. While you are here, you'll definitely want to grab a brew or two (but only if you aren't driving, of course). They only have five dog-friendly tables outside, so you may want to call ahead if you don't want to wait for a table to open. You will have to keep your dog on a leash here. Bring your own dish if you want your dog to be served alongside you.

Tony Cuban isthe place to take your dog on a dinner date. They go above what you would expect a restaurant to do for your beloved fur baby. They will even cook them their own dish if you order one! Just bring a leash and grab an outdoor table. They do have indoor tables, but the band is outside, so if you and your pup want a little extra entertainment with your meal, head to the outdoor seating area. Sip on a margarita while enjoying the ocean views. Bring a water dish for your pup. If your pup doesn't handle crowds or loud music very well, you might want to grab your food to-go instead.

Tropix is a Fido-friendly eatery located right on the beach. It's open for lunch and stays open until midnight. Every night of the week has a different selection of live music -- sometimes it's a DJ, so come on down and get your groove on! The bar wraps around so that you can actually sink your toes in the sand while you sip on your drink. Your dog will love how roomy it is. While you are here, you will need to keep your pooch on their leash. The staff will serve your dog water if you bring him a water dish. This is a hot spot all year long, so be prepared for loud music and crowds.
