Von Marie met Beans, for the first time and it honestly couldn t have gone more perfectly. From the moment she walked in, Von Marie was so warm, calm, and SUPER excited to meet him. Beans can be a little shy at first, but she was patient, gentle, and gave him the time he needed to feel comfortable. Within minutes, he was completely at ease with her. It was so sweet to see. She sent thoughtful updates and adorable photos of their adventure together! We re so grateful to have found Von Marie and will absolutely be booking with her again. Lakeside Drive South

The southern outskirts of Hempstead are a great place to bring a pooch for a good run! Situated on the banks of Hempstead Lake and within walking distance from Southern State Parkway, Hempstead Lake State Park is a pawesome state park with open space and a special field for pups. It's called The Dog Area, and it's located near South Pond. This is where your mutt can go wild splashing with canine friends, or rushing to the water to catch the stick you just threw. If you want to socialize and have fun in the rest of the area, leash up your pup and start your adventure along the walking trails.

East Bay Park

The eastern part of Bay Park is almost entirely occupied by Bay Park Water Reclamation Facility. If you're passing through along the banks of the Mill River, you'll be happy to know there's a furrific park nearby where you and Fido can stretch your legs. Bay Park Dog Park is set not far from the intersection of Harbor Road and Marjorie Lane. This dog park is a fun, fenced spot for off-leash games and chases. Or, if you're just looking for a quick walk, hit the walking trail here. Be sure to bring water and waste baggies along.

Merrick Road West

If you travel east of Baldwin along Merrick Road, you'll pass through Merrick and Bellmore before eventually finding a furrific spot for off-leash fun! Cedar Creek Park is located in the western part of Seaford, near the Wantagh State Parkway. The cool shade trees in this park provide the pawfect respite from big city living. The best part about this park, though, is its off-leash dog run! This fenced facility is perfect for active pooches who enjoy digging up the dirt and chasing some new canine companions! There's plenty of seating for humans, but the water system is out of order, so be sure to bring some with you.

Wantagh Park

Wantagh Park is a major recreation area in the city, occupying a significant part of South Wantagh. Here, you'll find multiple athletic fields and playgrounds, a fishing pier, and even an outdoor pool! Off-leash fun for pooches is also included. Dogs rule in a designated area where off-leash rules are the only rules! This spacious dog park is one of the favorite places among locals, who happily welcome newcomers into their lovely little pack. If your small pal is not into socializing, there is a separate small dog area where you and your furry friend can enjoy some one-on-one time.

Eisenhower Park

The huge area of Eisenhower Park is located within walking distance of Westbury’s downtown and a short ride northeast of Hempstead. Offering more than 930 acres of open space complete with venues for public events and movies under the sky in summer, the park also features plenty of outdoor activities, golf courses, and even a small but very clean dog park. The designated dog area occupies almost 2 grassy acres, and provides drinking water for pooches and seating for humans. Join the frequent visitors to have a chat or play ball together!
