Bourbon Broadway
Veterans Memorial Park is situated on Broadway Street, and offers plenty of space for Fido to run around. There are large open ball fields and grassy areas where your pup can chase a toy, or spend some time walking along the paved track on the eastern portion of the park. The grass is well maintained, and your pooch can roll around or sniff the trees while you sit in the shade. Before heading over to the park, stop by Tom’s Express Mart and pick up a snack and relax at the picnic tables outside the store.

North Blanchester
Fido’s favorite destination in Blanchester is the Tom Harvey Memorial Dog Park! This is a huge fenced area where pups can play and socialize with their friends. There is long grass where your pooch can roll around, and there is even a swimming pond for pups who love the water. Pooch parents can sit on the shaded swing and watch their furry family members run around. You might also want to walk through the wooded area and get some exercise, or listen to the frogs croaking. You will need to bring your own doggie waste bags, and there is a donation can outside the park where you can help support this amazing playground for the pups.

Harlan TWP
The Williams F. Whitacre Memorial Park is located in the northwest part of town and features open space and a field where the kids can play ball. If you need a quiet and peaceful destination to take your pooch and walk some laps or play a game of fetch, this park is just what you need. The grass is usually well-maintained, but there is not much shade around the ball fields. Where there are games in session, you and your pup can get a snack at the concession stand and watch the games from your lawn chairs while Fido sniffs the grass or takes a nap.

Pleasant Plain
The Stonelick State Park is just 8 miles south of town, and is a perfect getaway from the city. You and Fido can explore the area and admire the gardens, or hike along the trails while your pooch sniffs the trees and plants. There is a playground for the kids, and you can sit on a shaded bench with your pup and watch them play. There is also a campground in the park that is pup-friendly that features a movie theater and a lake. If you like to spend time outdoors with your furry family members, plan a day at this pawrific State Park.
Cowan Lake
Just nine miles north of Blanchester, the Beechwood Acres Camping Resort is a great place to spend time with family and friends. Pups are welcome at the campground, but you will need to keep them on a leash. There are RV sites and tent areas where you can spend time with Fido in the great outdoors. The kids will enjoy the swimming pool, and you can spend time walking around the area admiring the wildlife and plants. There is a playground for the kids and a train ride to keep youngsters entertained. Plan to spend the weekend with your pooch fishing and relaxing at this friendly campground.
