North Lake Park in Mansfield is a great place to bring your dog for a walk and get some fresh air. Within the park are amenities such as grills and picnic areas for sharing a delicious packed lunch, a playground for the little ones and a pond for fishing. If you are up for a good trail walk, the Richland B&O Trail starts here. This trail is one of 1600 rail-trails built along former rail lines and connecting corridors throughout the State. The Richland B&O Trail totals just over 18 miles, starting from North Lake Park and winding south to the community of Butler. Dogs must stay leashed both in the park and along the trail, and always pick up any mess your pet leaves behind.

What better way to spend some time with your family and your four-legged pal than with a few nights under the stars? Charles Mill Park, on the eastern border of Mansfield, has three pup-friendly campsites with spectacular views over the lake and into the woods. Each campsite has a picnic table and campfire ring provided and electricity is also available at selected sites. There is a nature trail to enjoy here too, as well as public picnic areas, playgrounds and a beach.
