“Nothing like the unconditional love from a pet.”
I’m Brian. My wife and I recently moved to Sandusky to be closer to family. We are both veterans and animal lovers. We have three dogs that keep us entertained since the kids are married and living out of the country. I love being outside and would love to spend time with your pets. Let me and your pet get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Hello! My name's Eliana and I'm really excited to be a dog walker with Wag! I'm going into my junior year of college and I love dogs, being outdoors, and getting exercise. I have over four years of dog walking experience with many different sizes and breeds. I hope I'll get the chance to meet your canine pal.
Hi there! My name is Emi and I currently live in West Lafayette, IN. I have grown up with larger dogs my whole life. I have interned at O'Connor Animal Hospital for a summer where I gained kennel experience and knowledge of veterinary practices. Throughout my high school career I boarded dogs in my own home and also was a petsitter to dogs of all sizes and personalities! I'm 21 years old, bilingual in Spanish and English and studying Wildlife biology and Chinese at Purdue University.
“I treat others the way I want my dog to be treated”
I have been walking dogs whether mine, friends or families for all of my life. I have always loved dogs and love working with dogs. I have owned my own dog training business and have worked as a vet tech for 20 years. I now have a 5 year old son who I am supporting on my own and would love to be able to financially do more for him. Doing what I love is one way I hope to achieve this, which is walking dogs.
Milan is a small village that is best known as the birthplace of American inventor and businessman Thomas Edison. In the 1830s, the village founder, Ebenezer Merry, built a dam on the Hudson River and established Merrys Mills, which is where the village got its name. The place is so unique and historically rich that, in 2002, The National Trust for Historic Preservation selected Milan as a Distinctive Destination! Milan is also known as a melon producer, and the town hosts an annual festival each fall to celebrate its agricultural accomplishments.
Even though Milan is a very small village, it does have two veterinarian services where your dog will be well taken care of. Some places in Milan where you can cuddle up with your pup and spend a few nights include the Motel 6 Milan and the Super 8 Milan Sandusky Area. Even though there aren't any dog-friendly restaurants in Milan, you'll find a few options in Huron, which is just 8 miles away, or in Sandusky, just 12 miles away from Milan.
A great place that you can take your pup to in Milan is the Milan Wildlife Area, which offers plenty of hiking trails, fishing areas, and hunting zones. You should also visit the historic museum, Thomas Alva Edison Birthplace. Un-fur-tunately, dogs aren't allowed inside.
Osborn Dog Park, or Erie MetroBark Park, is located just 10 miles away from Milan and offers plenty for you and your dog to do. This dog park has what every good dog park has: a securely fenced area that is divided into a small dog section and a large dog section. Water fountains are also available for thirsty pups. The numerous trees that make this place even more beautiful provide plenty of shade for the warm days. Benches are provided so dog owners can rest and relax while watching their pooches play. You'll have to purchase a permit if you want to use this park.
If you're in the mood for something different and you're a wine lover, you'll be happy to know that, just around 16 miles away from Milan is the Matus Winery, which allows doggies on the premises. The winery is located on a farm that is 75 years old and has a huge selection of wines for you to try. For those of you who don't really like wine, the winery also has draft beer. Doggies are allowed outside on the grass as well as inside the tasting room! This dog-friendly spot often has bands to make the atmosphere even more lively, so make sure your dog can handle loud music.
Marblehead Lighthouse State Park is around 30 miles away from Milan and it's a place that you pawsitively have to visit! This park is a beautiful place to share a picnic with your pooch. Doggies have to be on-leash at all times and are not allowed to enter any of the buildings. There is a museum in the former lighthouse, which people are allowed to tour, but doggies have to stay outside. There are plenty of rocks for Fido to climb and there are also places where your pup can cool off and swim. Bathrooms are available too; just bring some waste bags with you.
Thirty-four miles away from Milan, you'll find the Peppy Paws Pooch Park, located in North Ashland. Like many dog parks, this one separates pooches by size and provides safe, fenced spaces for both large and small pups. The park has plenty of big shade trees which will make your adventures here even more pleasant, especially on hot days. There are some fun agility courses that your dog can enjoy, and there are also places where dog owners can sit and relax. The ground is mostly covered in grass. You should take some water and poop baggies to clean up your pooch's messes.
Kelleys Island State Park is approximately 35 miles away from Milan and it's another place where you can enjoy a beautiful sunny day with your pooch by your side. The park is located on Kelleys Island, and the northern beach and campsite are dog-friendly. There is also a dog-friendly trail on the island called the North Shore Loop hiking trail. Pets have to be leashed at all times and you have to clean after your pooch to keep the beach clean. To get to the island, you can go by boat, or you can travel on one of the ferries.
