If your dog is craving some off-leash time, head over to the Clyde Dog Park. This beautiful dog park offers tons of room to run, plus benches, clean-up stations, a fire hydrant, a doggie water fountain, and a double gate system to keep everyone safe. The dog park is located inside of Community Park, so if Fido doesn't feel like being social, you can still explore this park's pawsome features, including tennis courts, a volleyball court, baseball and softball diamonds, and a pond. Hendricks Park is a bit smaller of a park, but includes amenities like a playground, climbing toys, and tennis courts. The Gus Wolf Park offers one tennis court, one basketball court, a playground, and a large grass field. The North Coast Inland Trail- Sandusky County Trail is the perfect trail to get a walk in with Fido, especially since it passes right through downtown Clyde. The trail is 28-miles total in length with an asphalt surface, and runs from Elmore to Bellevue, so you and Fido can walk along it as far as you want before turning around and going back home

Head over to the Castalia Quarry MetroPark for a fun afternoon out with your furry pal. This beautiful park has a playground, restrooms, and trails for you and your pup. There are numerous different types of trails throughout the park, ranging in distance and difficulty. Locals do warn that one trail has a cliff, so pay attention to where you walk and keep your dog on a leash while you are hiking. Bring plenty of water along with you too since there isn't any shade provided in this park. Your dog will have a great time heading over to Castalia, which is only eleven miles from Clyde, to explore this pawsome park!

Head over to the Countryside Park with your four-legged pup. This large grassy park offers tons of room for your dog to run around and get some exercise in. There is a gazebo for shade, plus a few trees scattered throughout the park to help provide shade. There are also restrooms available and a few benches to relax on. If you both want to walk there is a one-mile loop trail around the park that you and Fido can use for a walk before heading home. Located in Fremont and only eight miles out of Clyde, your pup will enjoy exploring this park with you.

Take your pup out to The Woods at Luscombe Farms. This lovely 55-acre park has great amenities, like bird watching and maple sugaring. The park offers a loop trail that wanders through the woods so you and Fido can get a walk in while visiting. While walking the trail, you and your dog will be shaded by huge maple, hickory, and oak trees. Make sure Fido stays on a leash, and don't forget to bring water and clean-up bags along with you. Occasionally, this park has events, so make sure that Fido is up for being social before you head out.

If your pup is looking for some new parks to explore, head over to Fremont. The Birchard Park offers a playground, benches, plenty of trees for shade, and a great open grass area. There is a long paved walking path that meanders around this huge park for a pawtastic walk. Also in this neighborhood is Mailer Park, a small park that has a few benches, a pavilion, and a nice paved walking trail around the park. The park has plenty of shade from trees and even a small grass area. Both of these great parks are located in Fremont, and only eight miles out of Clyde.
