“I'll treat your pups like my own!”

Hello, I'm Katrina! I have always had a love for animals. I believe dogs are part of the family and should be treated that way! When your pup is with me, they will get the same love and attention I'd give to my own. I currently have 2 rescues; Maia, a black lab mix and Dexter, a beagle. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I love that I am able to incorporate my love of dogs into a job that I can be excited about. I can't wait to meet your pup!

“Personal care for your dog”

I am an experienced pet care giver who lives with 3 cats. I love being around all types of dogs. I have dealt with high and low energy dogs; dogs that pull and dogs that need coaxing. My goal is to give you peace of mind and your fur baby attention and extra love. I enjoy having the dog show me their favorite walk. My preference is to find a quiet tree lined street with lots of smells. I sanitize my hands before and after every walk. Time in the house is limited.

I have been a volunteer for the Lakewood Animal Shelter since 2012 and have walked and dog sat for many friends over the years. I enjoy getting to know a dog, as they all have their own unique and intelligent personalities (like people). It's a refreshing to spend time with dogs with their enthusiasm and simple outlook on life. I walk and run daily clocking anywhere from 15 to 40+ miles per week. I would enjoy having a companion for some of those miles.

Dog Walking in Elyria

Elyria is a city located in the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area in Ohio. The name of the city comes from the name of its founder, Heman Ely.

If you find yourself with your pooch in Elyria or in the vicinity and you need a place to stay, you should check out the following accommodations: Red Roof Inn & Suites Cleveland Elyria, Days Inn & Suites Elyria, Quality Inn Elyria, Super 8 Elyria, Knights Inn Elyria, or Elyria Airbnb Rentals. The pet fees, weight limits and the number of pets allowed are different for every accommodation, so you should check before booking your room.

Treat your darling dog to a dinner date in Elyria! The town has a couple of places where you can bring your dog along with you to dine or share a snack, including Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill or Harry Buffalo.

If you need a veterinary help while you're here, you'll have access to three veterinary facilities, which provide both routine and emergency care.

Hankering for a hike? Elyria is the pawfect place to go for a stroll! You won't want to miss the Bridgeway Trail, which is a former trail line which has now been converted into a walking path. Your pup needs to stay on-leash at all times on this trail, and you'll need to bring the essentials, including water and waste bags.

If you're looking for a dog park in the vicinity of Elyria, then you should definitely consider the Lakewood Dog Park. The park is around 21 miles away from Elyria, but the drive is well worth it! The park is securely fenced and offers a double-gated entrance for maximum security. The ground is covered in gravel and the park is covered in shade from the big trees. Benches are available for the human visitors, and a water fountain is provided on a seasonal basis. Another good thing about this park is that it's next to the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation, where you can find lots of trails to walk with your pal!

Around 30 miles away from Elyria, you'll find another park called Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park. This 7-acre enclosed park is the pawfect place to enjoy a little off-leash exercise and socialization. The fence is five foot high and the park is separated into two areas: one for small dogs and one for large dogs. There are gravel walking trails in each of the separate areas. Your pal can also take a dip in the pond here during the summer; be sure to bring a towel! Bring your own water and waste bags, although there are some stations there that provide the baggies.

Just 10 miles north of Elyria, you'll find Park 4 Paws Avon Lake Dog Park, situated in West Avon Lake. The park is properly fenced to ensure all pups play safely. Although the park is not very large, it offers quite a bit for your dogs. There is a double water fountain that works seasonally, waste stations that provide poop bags, as well as toys and equipment for playing. Keep in mind that there's one big area for dogs of all sizes to play in, so if your pup is shy or doesn't want to ruffhouse with the big boys, you may want to avoid this one.

The Memorial Dog Park is located around 25 miles away from Elyria in Medina. This off-leash, fenced park has everything you'd expect from a standard dog park. There are two separate areas in the park: one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Benches and picnic tables are scattered throughout the park so you can sit and watch over your pooch. There's also a water fountain, but it's outside the fenced area, so make sure you bring a bowl. Don't forget to bring a leash, too, since your pup needs to be on one if you plan to wander outside the dog park.

Approximately 22 miles away from Elyria, you'll find Brunswick Dog Park. This furrfic park has more than enough space for your pal to get off his leash, stretch his legs, and make some new friends. The ground is covered in lush grass which your pup will love rolling around in! If you decide to visit the park, make sure you bring some water with you, because there is no water in the park. There are lots of bowls, poop bags and trash stations, though. There's also a big tree that provides good shade in addition to picnic tables and benches for human visitors.
