Marion Central
Marion is a city in Ohio with a population of nearly 40,000 people, and the northwestern corner of town is about 20 miles from Mount Gilead. That's where you'll find the Kauffman Dog Park at Kennedy Park. This off-leash dog park makes up a section of Kennedy Park's 26 acres, and it includes separate enclosures for big and small dogs. There are lots of seating areas for pet parents in Kauffman Dog Park, but don't forget to bring drinking water and doggy bags for your pooch. Other areas of Kennedy Park have sports courts and fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Your dog can accompany you throughout the rest of the park if they're on a leash.36

Troy
There's a place just 25 miles from Mount Gilead that could best be described as Disneyland for dogs, and you'll find it in northern Delaware, Ohio. Mutt's Paradise AmuseMutt Park and Dog Training Center is a private, six-acre dog park that is pawfect for dogs who need their own space. If your dog doesn't do well in a typical dog park, this park is a great alternative. For just $10 an hour per dog, you can rent the park for your dog to enjoy all by themselves! Oakstone
You and your pooch can drive to the Maize Memorial Dog Park in western Ontario, Ohio in less than half an hour. This exceptional off-leash park has large and little dog enclosures, as well as a bunch of agility equipment for adventurous pups. There are also trails inside of the park, as well as some surrounding the fence where you can walk your dog on a leash. Inside of Maize Memorial Dog Park, you'll find seating areas for pet parents, as well as fresh drinking water and waste disposal supplies. Brooksedge Meadows
It'll take a little more than a half an hour to drive from Mount Gilead to the Brooksedge Park Bark Park, and this off-leash park in southern Westerville, Ohio is well worth the trip. The Brooksedge Park Bark Park has three separate sections: one for big dogs, one for small dogs, and a third section that is rotated to allow the grass to regrow. Within the park, there are lots of shaded seating areas, as well as drinking water for dogs, waste disposal supplies, and plenty of toys to chase. Your dog can also join you in many other areas of Brooksedge Park as long as they remain on a leash.
