Dog Walking in Johnstown

Johnstown, Ohio, is a small village outside of Columbus, the state’s capital. Here, you’ll find four vet clinics and even a mobile vet who can treat and care for your furry friend. Johnstown is also where you can enter the T.J. Evans Panhandle Trail, which stretches over 14 miles from Johnstown to Newark and welcomes leashed dogs to run, walk, and explore with their owners.

For more paw-friendly fun, you’ll want to venture a little closer to Columbus and its surrounding towns and cities. Around 17 miles southwest of Johnstown is Westerville, which has quite a bit of fun in store for your pooch. Spend a day at the Inniswood Metro Gardens, which allows leashed dogs on some trails through the beautiful botanical gardens.

You can travel a few more miles west to reach Columbus, which is the home of the Godown Dog Park, which has more than five acres of space for your dog to explore. Big and small dogs are kept separate for their safety. Near the park is the Olentangy Greenway, which is a furrific spot for you and your pup to get some exercise and bonding time outdoors.
