Short North

Columbus, Ohio is just over a 20-minute drive from Blacklick, and in the Short North area is a fun place called Wheeler Memorial Dog Park. This park is located within the larger Wheeler Memorial Park. The dog park has a big dog section and a small dog section, and these sections are regularly rotated to keep the dogs entertained as well as to protect the turf. There are many hills and paths, as well as a variety of terrain within this park, so it is as pleasant for humans to explore as it is for dogs. You'll also find a water pump for dogs and seating throughout the park as well.

Walnut Creek

Your beloved dog will be over-the-moon when you take them to the Big Walnut Dog Park in Columbus, Ohio. This park is only a 15-minute drive from Blacklick, and it has a separate small dog section as well as another for big dogs. Throughout the park, there is plenty of green grass for Rover to roll around in, and there are restrooms and nearby parking for human convenience as well. There are picnic tables in Big Walnut Dog Park so you can rest your legs while you watch your pup have the time of their life with other happy dogs.

Southwest Delaware

Alum Creek State Park is located in Delaware, Ohio, a 40-minute drive from Blacklick. This massive park has a 3,387-acre reservoir as well as 4,630 acres of rolling hills and green space. Within this enormous park is a four-acre dog park right along the water. This fenced-in, off-leash area is further sectioned off to provide areas for small dogs and big dogs to play safely with dogs of similar sizes. If your dog loves the water, you'll be pleased to know Alum Creek Dog Park even has a dog beach that is fenced in as well!

Brewery District

If you've got a dog who gets a kick out of using agility equipment, they'll give you extra kisses when they find out you're taking them to the Scioto Audubon Dog Park in the Brewery District of Columbus, Ohio. This dog park not only has agility equipment, but it also has a small dog section, benches, water, and a sand pit for digging. It's a short drive from Blacklick, and the Scioto Audubon Metro Park also has activities for the rest of the family. The dog park is just part of the 120-acre park, and you're sure to find something to do there that will excite your whole family.

Brooksedge Plaza Center

Westerville, Ohio is about a 25-minute drive from Blacklick, and it has a population of almost 40,000 people. Westerville has a thriving shopping district known as Uptown Westerville, and many people are drawn to the town for this reason. Dog owners are often drawn to Westerville for a different reason, though: a pawsome dog park! The Brooksedge Dog Park is a four-acre dog park with three separate sections: one for small dogs, one for medium or large dogs, and a third area to allow for rotation to protect the turf and allow the grass to regrow. There are toys, balls, benches, waste removal items, and water provided at this park as well.
