Maple Heights is a city in Cuyahoga County. Just 11 miles by car from Cleveland, Maple Heights is a lovely spot to stop in for a visit with your dog, as there is so much to see and pup-friendly places to explore in this part of the world. Maple Heights has an animal hospital and two vet clinics, so you can be assured your dog is in safe hands should he run into trouble.
There are two lovely, large green spaces in Maple Heights where you can bring your pup for a play and some fresh air. Central to the town is Stafford Park, set on 35 acres of woodland with amenities including picnic areas, a playground, cooking facilities and plenty of parking close by. Marvel at the spectacular trees here, including oak, ash, birch, poplar and, of course, maple. Dunham Park is part of the Cleveland Metroparks system and is almost 50 acres of beautiful recreation space.
Other smaller parks in Maple Heights include Benhoff Park,
Southgate Park, Home Street (Cunwillo) Park and DARE Park. Pets are welcome in
these parks, but need to stay leashed.
