Rock Creek
The village of Rock Creek is a small community with an apartment complex, houses, an elementary school, and a production plant. You can get out in nature at the Grand River Conservation Campus found just southwest of town. A pawtastic place for you to hike or to jog with your pooch is on the Western Reserve Greenway Trail. There's a parking area on Railroad Street where you can connect to the paved pathway. This rail-trail extends southward from Ashtabula for 44 miles. You can share the road with your pup if they're on a lead up to six feet long. Collect and discard any messes.36

Montville
About 13.5 miles southwest of Rock Creek, you'll find the unincorporated community of Montville. There are single-family homes and a few businesses here. The country roads are a nice place to go walking with your pup. Just east of this neighborhood, you and Fido can spend time by the water. Head to Hidden Lakes Family Campground off Grand Army of the Republic Highway. This pet-friendly facility has RV hookups, tent sites, and three small fishing lakes. Spend a weekend outdoors with your special pal here. Keep your pup under the supervision and leashed at all times. Be sure to dispose of any droppings.24

Thompson
Thompson is about 11.2 miles northwest of town. In this rural village, you'll find single-family homes, a church, some administrative buildings, and a few businesses. Take a tour of Maple Ridge Vineyard and sample area wines. A furrific place to treat your pooch to some outdoor time is Thompson Ledges Township Park. Hike past rock formations and through the woods with your furry pal in this facility. Some of the terrain is rugged, so watch your step when you visit. Your canine companion must be on a lead when they accompany you on your trek. Pack water and waste bags for the trip.12

Madison Palisades
The neighborhood of Madison Palisades is about 16 miles northwest of Rock Creek. This residential area includes wooded lots with single-family homes along the Grand River. You'll find quiet roads where you and your pup can get a little exercise here. Take your fur baby across the river to Hidden Valley Park for a nature hike. There are picnic facilities, river access, a playground, and walking paths in this 152-acre property. Stretch your legs on the ground, or get out on the water with your canine companion. Pets need to be secure on a lead while in the park. Clean up any messes.
