This remote village includes private estates located around Williamsburg Lake and along the Maumee River. When you're looking for professional services for your pup, there are four veterinary clinics about 10 miles southeast of here in Bowling Green.

To get out and enjoy nature with your pup, head to Bend View Metropark, located off South River Road and across the Maumee River. Walk along the pathway to the 90-degree bend of the river to get a scenic shot. Dogs are welcome here if they're on a leash and you clean up after them.

Another pawtastic park to check out with your pooch is the Providence Metropark. This facility is located about six miles southeast of Williamsburg-On-The-River. Follow the River Bluff Trail as it wanders along the Maumee River's edge, then ascends to provide stunning views of the water below. Dogs on a leash can join you in this facility. 

Plan a park day with your furry friend and head to Mary Jane Thurston State Park in McClure. This 105-acre facility offers boating, fishing, hiking, camping and more. You can bring dogs here, provided they're on a leash and you pick up their waste.

When you want to enjoy the river, grab your canoe and head a few miles northeast to Weirs Rapids at the end of Range Line Road. Walk along the shore and enjoy the scenery with your pup, or push out into the water and paddle upstream to the Missionary Island Wildlife Area to go exploring.
