South Bay City
This area is home to the puptastic Kilchis Point Reserve, a 200-acre natural space chock full of plants, trees, and animals. Leashed four legged visitors are welcome to wander around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Since the property is owned and operated by the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum, it is both a fun and educational destination. Three interpretive trails provide insight into the area. Your pal can learn about the flora and fauna, Native American heritage, and early pioneer settlement. She’ll love strolling through thick forests and near babbling brooks. If you follow all the trails your pup can easily get a 2 mile walk in. Be sure to bring water, you don’t want a thirsty dog on your hands!

North Tillamook
The Hoquarton Interpretive Trail is located 10 minutes south in Tillamook. Situated on the banks of the Stillwell Slough, this lovely trail is a great spot to exercise your pooch. It winds through a natural area and has interpretive signs that provide information about the area’s history. There’s even a viewing dock that overlooks the riparian habitat. Since Tillamook is famous for its cheese, a visit to the Blue Heron French Cheese Company will not disappoint. Order some Penne Mac N’ Cheese or the Ultimate Grilled Cheese. Then grab a table on the outdoor patio so your pup can hang out with you while you devour the gooey goodness. Watch out, she may drool!

East Tillamook
Need a new place to walk your dog? Look no further, as Goodspeed Park is only 10 minutes in Tillamook, and a pawsome place for an afternoon stroll with Fido. Clip on his leash and take a couple laps around the park’s perimeter to get his heart rate going. Since this is a pupular park for locals as well as people just passing through town, he’ll have ample opportunity to make new friends. He can wander around the large lawn areas or paws for a break under one of the shade trees. The park also features a skate park, a playground, and picnic facilities.12
Garibaldi
Garibaldi is quaint fishing village about five minutes north of Bay City. Leash up your pup and head over for a furrific walking tour of this charming area. Pick up a city tour map at one the local businesses then start your stroll. You and your pooch will get a sense of the town’s character as you pass an historic United States Coast Guard station and memorial, the picturesque marina, Old Mill smokestack, and the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. If you want to stick around for another day or two, make a reservation at Harborview Inn and RV Park. After exploring the village, your pal can drift off to dreamland in one of the cozy rooms.
Barview
If your pooch is a fan of sleeping under the stars, then throw some sleeping bags into the car and head over to Barview Jetty County Campground. Located in southern Rockaway Beach, this campground is 15 minutes from Bay City and caters to all types of campers. It has sites for RVs, tents, and even cabins. Once you’re all set up, follow the foot trail to the beach so your pal can romp around in the ocean waves. There’s plenty of driftwood for playing fetch or climbing on. This is also a pupular birdwatching area. This place will definitely make your pal a happy hound!
